Like some others, I'm split on this....

On one hand it would make sense from one viewpoint and solve issues of warping off and having to re-scan it...

On the other....

Is that that hard to right click / radial menu -> Save Bookmark?

not to mention mistakes create more content then automatic systems

better idea is just to let it be so that your probes don't instantly go to the center of the system and rather scan where you launch them if you don't move them

Yeah, if hiiting "launch probes" and then hit "scan" on your probe-scanner-window. they should not fly away to some pre-saved spot.
IMHO they should just scan where they are / where you launched them ... by default. no pre-100%! (.....or their actual location's center is the center for a previously set formation by default).

For gameplay:
bookmarking the signature and warp to it wont let you land directly ontop of the wormhole. bookmarking the Wormhole directly after jumping is therefore more useful.
BUT when you want to know the signature-name, you probably are interested in the other signatures. That means, you will scan them anyway.
As everyone with a little practise in "wormholing" will scan his/her location first anyway, we can automate this to have more action/content per playtime. (ofc at the downside(/upside xD) of wormholes getting a little more dangerous bc incoming scouts/forces need a little less time to scan the system)

maximize ( c / t ) ! xD (where c=content and t=time)

I don't really understand this, why would you scan the wormhole you came from?

My thoughts exact at first. Then I realized that he wants the WH you just jumped through to be automatically set to 100% signal strength in this list of objects in your scan results.

Supported as a general concept. I would like to see more details of how it would be implemented before a final decision.
One question that comes to mind do we just have WH show up this way or every scan able item in space?

For now looking at you solar system map when scanning would allow you to quickly and easily eliminate the WH because the scan signature would show up next to you and the chances of 2WH spawning in the same place are pretty slim.

One less red dot floating around on your map of the solar system. --> less distraction --> you can pinpoint other Sigs more quickly.
