Crap...I do not like the new Market Order window afterall...

I was really looking forward to this new feature. Obviously the ability to multisell is a great feature but I have found that I am slowed down by the interface when putting in new orders.

Numbers are rather crowded in the sell window. With the previous quicksell it was a quick glance and then on to the next item. Now I find myself having to look VERY closely at the number to make sure it's right. (Those of you who who have ever made a typo that equates to multiple % of your net worth understand why we must be sure)

I have had to slow down my actions and be methodical which is exactly NOT what a trader working with hundreds of items wants to do.

Perhaps I Just need more time to get comfortable with the interface and build muscle memory?

Would like to hear more from the experienced traders here.
What are your thoughts on the window change now that you've had a chance to use it?

I was fairly appalled by the initial release, where the display fields were simply too small to show the data they held and corp orders didn't work. I expect to see some bugs with outliers and nieche functionality, but when the core elements of the change haven't been properly tested it's a bit of a horror to see.

Now I'm just finding it difficult to use compared to the old window, but I will obviously get used to it in time.

The question is: am I getting used to a newly improved feature or simply forgetting how much better the old version was?

Definitely slowing me down. And since the buy window is as before, it is easy to sense which one is less functional now.

I already commented on the color changes, and that itty bitty miniscule text indicating the percentage deviation from market average - wow that must have been crafted by icelandic nanorobotes, or equipment they inherited from cold war microfilm labs.

The Initial shock has worn off and i'm beginning to like it, alot, though i do find the functionality behind imediate sell to be quite confusing, if u enter a value thats above the highest buy order it ends up back in your hanger, do people actually intentionally list orders for less than 3 months?, i would be nice if there was a way to specify the dumping of all stock to available buy orders if 1 buy order if insufficient to take all of the items

It wasn't possible before either, so no real change there.

i can only agree, the new sell window lacks the button with direct access to market overview which was on the old one. I put in ~20 new orders a day and this makes me need 40 unnecessary clicks more....

CCP please: implement direct access button to market overview in this new sell window!

You click the graphic showing the percentage next to the price. A ****** un-intuitive hidden button, but it is there at least.

As per thread, I've gotten used to it and the patch after the first day increased usability a bit. Still way worse than the old window for single items though, but ~CCP~ and "everyone loves the changes" per the 7o show or whatever.

It annoys me to select multiple items, and they appear in reverse order in this window.

I agree - it seemed rushed. CCP got too focused on multi-sell and forgot that's not what most people are doing. Fortunately, CCP dev is giving the impression they are listening to feedback and will work to get it right.

Dang CCP is on it.

From the latest upcoming patch notes...

Following the original release of this feature in Phoebe, Rhea brings better feedback when dragging items to the sell window and a larger entry when selling single items.

The "multisell items are added to the sell window in reverse order" is annoying and smacks of sloppy coding in particular. If there's a reason for it I'm really curious to hear it.

I get the impression multisell was intended to primarily benefit people whose main sales workflow is to dump a large jumble of items (e.g. mission loot/salvage) to buy orders. I'm sure it's a boon to them, but I'm nonplussed as a trader.

This is how I see it.

It is at tool for more rapidly dumping PvE detritus to the market when the player has little concern for the value of the individual items and primarily cares about the big green number in the corner of the window.

A trader's needs are very different.

This, please bring back the old sell option and make multisell an option in the menu.

I'd like to see them overhaul the entire market interface and make it decent.

But I would be deeply concerned that they would trash it like they did with the S&I interface and make it less useable for the advanced user in preferance for making it more accessible for the occasional user.

I see the best solution for all of these interfaces is to have a simple/advanced mode toggle, because there is no way you can make something that is complex enough to be useful to me while also being simple enough to be useful to the average disinterested mission runner.

I just gathered some market suggestions... :)

Multi-sell is a rolling clusterfuck of sloppy developer fail. I sold a large tower a few days ago for three isk, and now I ONLY use it in single item mode.

I love it. My tools supply me with my sell prices so I just wait for the list to load up and do a quick copy/paste for the lot.

What I miss most is that the Enter-key doesn't work anymore for placing the order when tabbing out of the amount field, like it used to do and still does in the "Buy order" and "Modify order" window.

What is missing for you in the new S&I interface?
