Would it not be more interesting and far better content to open up Jove Space than create a different type of wormhole?
We have had sleepers in WH space for a long time so now lets get the Jove awakened. The Null alliance rush for the space would out surpass the landrushes of the 1900's lol

What if the only connection to Jove space is through one of the statics in Thera?

Things could be getting interesting, for once Shocked

Create a high sec bridge and null sec bridge and lets all go for the land rush, would bring some nice content.

They are talking about black holes and new gates.

I would only support this if the Jove actively repel invasion like sleepers on steroids. They should camp gates with bubbles, use caps to attack POSes, and hot drop mining fleets.

Will I get banned for boxing!?!?!

1. Opening up Jove space (and Jovian stuff) will remove a plot device that CCP can use for future expansions. This would require CCP to then come up with something entirely new that may or may not jive with "the story of EVE."

2. Why spoil the mystery?

The lore of the Jove has to be held true of course.

"Land rush" is not a sustainable scenario. Game features should not be designed around it in a persistent game world.

If CCP did this, it would have to come with a lot of new content in the game. A new area that works pretty much like existing null but with different NPCs would be very disappointing. It would need to be something new and different.

I like the idea of NPCs using player tactics to protect their space. It could also be interesting if there was a way to gain standings with the Jove to be allowed in their space. I am not suggesting it should be a carebear kingdom, just that there should be some kind of structure, not just null and rats.

Such negativity, Have some heart!

That is why Null has got to where it is at the moment.

The question is with this can the Jove respond to the incursion?

I think Jova ships should NOT be added to the game as standard ships anyone can fly. Just because you might have to fight them does not mean there needs to be a way to build or buy them.

Jovians are like the Space Jockeys in Alien. Ancient, mysterious, advanced, dead. Then they made Prometheus and took a big fat dump on all that wonder. EVE doesn't need a Prometheus expansion.

How do you know that isn't what this is for? New stargate research location? Maybe the first gate itself? Where will they lead?
