The long lists are entirely dependent upon nominations provided by people outside of PIE.

Question: Why do you take nominations from the outside anyway? Isn't that kind of public relation stuff unworthy of such a noble, splendid and—we all know—old entity such as PIE? Because let's be honest: This verbiage aims just to give you some publicity. In the process you rule out the unworthy and we are all amazed what fancy conservative traditionalists you are! What I find interesting is that you need to create a quasi-democrativ procedure and a public arena to do so. This strongly reminds me of the spontaneous debates which can be observed in the Gallente Communist Party...

Odelya I think you are confused, the 'Adult Film Actress of the Year' contest is in another thread. Move along.

I think your performance in 'Amazing Amarrian Asses' has that one firmly won Silas, don't worry.

I believe the -AAA- ticker is already taken, but for an entirely different group of them. Lol

Clever turn of words, however. Gold star for you.

I would like to nominate Vaari as loyal servant.

A truely selfless man who takes no heed of the constant ridicule, character assassination and finger pointing aimed at his noble self. His sermons are always greeted with laughter and merriment at our gatherings.

For capsuleer of the year, I will nominate Kazzzi. Although not quite as entertaining as Vaari, he is the embodiment of what an Amarrian capsuleer should strive to be.

Bit late, we've already gotten past that. We're now onto the approved list of names which seems to have very few, if any, of the more popular capsuleer nominations.

It's not a democratic process, you simply put forward your idea and they decide if they approve of it or not. Bit like dealing with the Theology Council, only these guys don't scream "HERETIC!" to your face, which is rather polite of them.

But their contest, their ruleset, though I must say it has got me thinking....

I would like to put in my support/vote the two award nominees:

Amarrian Capsuleer of the year: Kazzi - as no other Amarrian has worked as hard to clear the empire of garbage and useless debris

Servant of the year?: Eran Mintor certainly fits the bill of a servant in the Amarrian Empire. No single person has done more to keep the Amarrian butt cracks clean since he left the military service of the Republic.

The lists also reflect the unending march of time.

Those of us who have plied teh spacelanes for many many years, since even the dawn of teh Capsuleer Era, may not be as familiar with the efforts or words or works of some of the new generation of pilots.

Indeed, I've found too that many of us suffer from a sense of regionalism. If the effort is not aimed in Providence, for example, I may not know them myself, despite being a loyalist.

There are days when I look around, and even within my own Alliance I see many faces I know not.

Such is the march of time, and the grinder that is the life of a Capsuleer. Those who don't wind up stabbed in the back in a dark corridor in some null-sec station somewhere with their clones destoryed, or who don't go insane from the endless existence we live and the death and destructionw e see and inflict daily, often retire to lives of luxury, faith or otherwise move planetside with the wealth of a thousand planetary Governors.

They'll always be new names and faces to take their place, to pick up the various gauntlets of the various ideologies and beliefs we Capsuleers promote and fight for.

I would say thats why I nominate Lord Garreck, a man who I am proud to call my good friend, a man not of noble Amarrian birth, but who came to the faith and more, to the belief in the CVA Mission, on his own, and has been a stalwart defender of NRDS and a peaceful Amarrian Providence from that time forward.

While G may not have the cache of those fighting the ongoing proxy war between the Empire and the Matari, he is none-the-less as good a man, as good an AMARRIAN, as I could ever hope to fly with and work with.

Nope. They never will either.

Sorry to dissapoint you, my crazy friend.

Although I do notice Andreus keeps an eye on my communications of late, I might feel a Gallente headhunter/recruiting effort coming on.....

No, in all seriousnes Vaari, I wouldn't hold your breath about my being "fired" from CVA.

I have sent letter to my friend, Sir Daedalus where I, Lord Vaari, earl of Sosan VII, founder and despot of the Imperial Pharmacy, golden mountain, guardian angel of the Providence, the world most beloved hero, speaker of unquestioned truth, teacher of faith, carrier of the Heavens light, self proclaimed prophet, bane of witches, skilled industrialist and great miner demand your excommunication.

You are not worty of being member of the CVA, since you have lost your faith, you are working against everything that is good and holy and are generally hexer.

Fear the God and honor the Empress!

I'll be sure to ask Equi to pass it along.

I guess thats the difference between you and I Vaari.

You send letters.

I kill CVA's enemies.

You talk as if you're in CVA and have a say.

I am and always have been in CVA, and I know you don't have a say.

You're worried about my Faith.

I'm not. I have my old friend Merdaneth to watch over that for me.

I'm worried about how to fight for and defend the CVA cause, a man of true Faith and humility.

Best of luck with your letter.

Hello Vaari,

This not the time or place for this, but if you must know, the religious arm of CVA is extremely sure that Brother Cononach is not a “Hexer” and he has not lost his faith. Just expresses it differently right now. He is serving Gods purpose as always. And please remember sometimes we all have bad days.
If you would like to think on the matter in a quiet place or consult with the CVA Clergy team, come visit us sometime at the Garden Abby I would love to give you a tour of our cathedral.

I apologize for disrupting the discussions, and I will let everyone get on with their duties.

This is indeed an outrage. How can 'Lord' Vaari, earl of Sosan VII, founder and despot of the Imperial Pharmacy, golden mountain, guardian angel of the Providence, thrice winner of the Oris Egg and Spoon race, his mirrors most beloved hero, speaker of unquestioned truth, user of the most superlatives, teacher of faith, carrier of the Heavens light, self proclaimed prophet, bane of modesty, skilled industrialist, and great miner not be short listed?

If he had won, his acceptance speech would have been the funnest thing written since the eight thousand year dark age. You have robbed trillions of a moment of happiness via laughter.

Shocking.

I have to admit I have difficulties to find references to this word : what is a "hexer" exactly ?
