No, its 50 skills or 10 years.

Da, my main, currently has a 2 year skill queue.

I had a few skills that are like 1d and a few hours, and with my schedule right now I just didn't have a good time to put them in, muauhauhuah now they will be done! Plus a few skills I just couldn't bear to place on the queue, but now that they are just going in on a list somewhere long away I don't really mind. Now I just have to remember to either add some more things or remap in a few months

The limit is 50 skill entries (= 50 skill levels) or 10 years, whichever limit you hit first.
So while technically not infinite, game wise it virtually is.

ah, should have read down before I posted reply. :)

Thanks for the clarity. Much appreciated. :)

That said ... from an advertising point of view, Inifinite means infinite, so strictly speaking the 'advertising' should be adjusted, as I'm sure there's a bunch of legal wranglers out there who'll actually give a damn and persue it. ;-) (Me, not being one of them ... though I work in the industry that has to be careful about that kind of stuff).

:)

Right, the term probably should be something like extended or expanded skill queue.

It still needs to allow skills with requirements to be trained if those required skills are already queued in.

Agreed, but only if they are in queue prior, and part of that would be to allow injection of all skills regardless of meeting prerequisites to make that happen. That way you can then inject, add to the list after the prereq's, and walla. Otherwise the injected skill does nothing and is merely taking up space.

next step should be removing ISK-price of skillboks... it doesn't provide content, limits content, etc....

Look at how large an isk sink skill books are. And gating content isn't bad, since it indicates how expensive using that content is likely to be, so slows down people from getting ahead of their isk means.

Agreed ISD Ezwal.

But it is also limited by how much Game Time someone has.

For example if you have 3 months of game time and at the end of 3 months wouldn't the training stop because you have not re subscribed so that is still limited.

CCP need to re word unlimited skill training to limited.

Everything we do in life and in VR world has a limitation.

The same logic couldn't help learning skills so why should it help to ISK-price of books?

Case law says marketing are allowed to use hyperbole as long as the actual situation comes to somewhere it is reasonable to use such hyperbole. A 50 skill or 10 year limit of skill queues is reasonably close to unlimited as far as common practical use goes. I think I dropped about 15-20 in my skill queues and they are all 3-4 months now. And I could drop more obviously but that's the extent of the current skill plan (I know what's meant to come next but it's the next plan).
So as far as reasonable use goes, they are fine.
So rules lawyering here is silly.

+1! I like it, makes it nice to plan ahead on a monthly basis for me to get the skills I need to lvl5, so no biggy there. Another thing I'm gonna enjoy with this new way is go thru and get skill sets all updated to lvl5 as well, I have some I need to do that with soooooo.... good times ahead!

ISKIES are easy enough to come by especially if you care-bear it up with a few alts.

What would really make this change awesome is removal of the prerequisites for slotting. Whats the point in a 10 year skill queue if slotting Widget Spinning for your 3rd year of training requires you already have Martini Mixer V which you are not training till year 2 ?

Funny how so many people were viciously opposed to the idea and they seem to have faded away...

Anyways, very glad to have years-long queues now. I'd still like to see

a) injecting skills without prereqs (just not training them) and

b) cross-character skill queues for an account, all managed from one convenient window

You should move to the north of England, then you would have one clog to share with the rest of the street.

this. Not tested this, but was hopeful it could be done. Hey ho if it can't, not the end of the world for me.
