The hypocrisy of this post aside (a post complaining about complainers), I agree with the first sentence but for much different reasons. The overwhelming amount of arrogance and trolling by the players combined with the horrid handling by those who moderate is what makes these the worst forum of been on. When a legitimate thread is opened but gets trolled by the player base because they don't agree resulting in the thread being locked begs the question "just who is really in charge of moderating?".

CCP should make a complaints forum. That way all the complainers have a place to consolidate and everyone else can err... avoid that place.

Elite: Dangerous > Star Citizen.

I just had the privilege of teaching an EVE vet (someone who taught me PVP in EVE) the ropes of Elite and it was hella fun, we went and shot noobs together. In our shared opinion, Elite is on par with EVE but it's a completely different kind of game and gameplay. We enjoy both.

Star Citizen can suck a phatty.

This is actually a topic I find interesting, because it describes some things about human behavior. And it also shows that what happens on these forums isn't unique (WoW players suffer the same "WoW is dying, x game is gonna kill WoW crap as we do).

Part of it is anxiety. People like a game, they don't want it to die so they tune themselves to see 'threats' to their pass time so that they can 'warn' the developers in enough time. It's not unlike what people do in real life when saying "repent for the end is nie!" lol even though the end is no where near Nie.

Another part is manipulation. Some people don't like a game (in part or even in full) but they are the insidious, borg-like "everything must conform to my worldview" types so instead of just leaving, they warn of "X game is gonna kill this one" to get the developers to change the game in a way they find pleasing.

The types above also try to use the threat of the coming of new games as a wedge. They generally don't like a significant portion of a games population and think it would be better with more people like them. Their hope is that the developers change the game to entice the 'bad people' to leave so more 'decent folk" (ie people like them) sign up to play.

Fortunately, I think most people see through this kind of bullshit.
