go for it, I just do what my FC says because I'm a monkey. I just wish I could go on carefree roams on my own in bubble country. If I did, I would go quickly broke -always- and that's what this is about. for me.

I agree with OP. I completly understood and agreed with hi-cost clones when you could death clone across the galaxy on a whim, but now, the only time these clones are going to be getting popped is because of hostile action.

If the "travel" was the main reason for the high price, that reason is now gone and the price of clones should decrease. My clones only cost 10 mil and even I think thats outrageous. I can't imagine what it's like for people with 150 mil SP. Your clone shouldn't cost more than the T2 ship you're flying.

But think of the other side: I wouldn't want my enemies be financially able to go for care free roams in my country without going broke quickly!

Noobs like me should totally have a cost advantage over vets like you! Unless you want to be a meat-shield too!

btw. I flew this out of jita to YA0, and everyone had +5 sets. I'm not averse, I just know what a waste of ISK looks like.

that was a lot of fun, I'll admit. the Torrinos camp ran from me. no killboard evidence does not mean no gameplay.

the assets I was piloting and the implants I had in, I should lose those in PVP. but not the SP I've paid to accumulate.

Both are good points and both matter. I love eve but also love working on vintage motorcycles. After years of eve, should I have had to stop training years ago to afford nullsec? I dont have piles of alts to PvE and farm up plexes. As result, I have to limot my pvp time so I can spend 10x as much time on pve to afford it. Look at net total time invest per character, you are all in same boat. How do we put effective cost on it? Maybe more versatility on implants. so peeps in frigs, that implant is way more effective. Gain to your risk vs Investment. Second, I agree on reclone timers. If somebody wants to undock and feed sucide risk, well gonna lock up yourk clone. Promote smat play instead of welping. Also cell phone. Sorry about typos

To quote Lfod Shi

I don't think EVE should be throttled in that way. making EVE bigger is ok, through jump fatige. locking clones just makes EVE slower.

I was having a conversation with a friend on irc about bling losses, PVP in general. if SP loss-free med clones happen, I'm going to roam in a golem to celebrate, possibly several times (with several golems).

it has to be a zero-isk zero-SP lost option, though. the part about "choice" worries me, like, the cost will still be there but now you have to pick between one of three reasons for spending it.

the option i'm listening for is pay nothing, lose no SP.

did I mention it's something worth keeping a number of mains on individual accounts over, to me?

I honestly dont get why ppl whine so much over clone costs. Yes, the clone is more expensive then a frig, boohoooo.
Most ppl have implants worth a ton more then the clone cost anyhow, unless your one of those with 400mill sp

it sucks when you incur the cost several times in a quick succession. that ISK went to no one except CCP.

med clone cost scales infinitely. casual or infrequent undockers don't have an issue.

read the thread.

The isk sink is so absurdly small that my spacepoor self could probably cover it for everyone in this game for November and possibly through December as well, judging from the math given by some dude in this thread who took the opposite position. It may as well not exist, the economy certainly isn't going to notice the difference.

what the hell r u talking about? stop posting about crap u dont know squat about. if you actually understood the game youd know high sp chars have clones in the tens and sometimes hundreds of millions.

And I guarantee you many of these people aren't losing pods that often. They're choosing to avoid ships or areas of space where their pods are at a high risk of becoming exposed and captured.

Hundreds of millions? Which ones are those? Last I checked the most expensive ones being used are 40mil and that would be on the rare side.

I realize your API is not linked but according to the kill boards you have not lost a pod since June, how many times were you podded last month? Was it really a significant influence on whether or not you undocked?

that multibox gang I posted, you're looking at 1.1 Billion SP. Hence my talk about 350 million ISK pod totals.
