To be fair, Veers, a significant number of those 32 pages (probably more than half) were just you telling us how great you are. You are the king of trolls, sir, and I congratulate you for it.

starting that thread was a troll - you should not have done it...or the guy who did it should not have done it.

LOL! Now that's the pot calling the kettle black!

Because I start obsessive troll threads putting bounties on people's heads? Try again, I debate ideas here, not use the forum to try and harm other players.

ROFL you don't debate anything, you state your point of view, and then claim that everyone who provides a counter argument is a goon, a criminal, a sociopath, psychopath, or otherwise unreliable.

Nonsense. From now on I want you to pay attention to who starts the personal attacks. Anytime a "carebear" posts they are immediately threatened with wardeccs, kill it forward queues, bounty threads, insults, etc.... Monitor the threads and let us know. I would love if we could stop with the personal attacks and the Grrr Veers garbage and stay on topic. And no more troll bounty threads. Thanks.

Veers you need help, that sort of thing is not normal. Maybe it's from you accusing people who are keeping things in game of being RL sociopaths, notice how many pve players call out pvp players for being sociopaths vs the number of pvp players that seriously call out pve players for being sociopaths and compare the two.

All right Veers... I'll give you that chance to prove you stand on higher ground. I'll be following any further comments you make from this point on. All topics, all post. We'll see if you can refrain from the insults & blatant trolls and respond in an intelligent and thoughtful manner, to which you claim you always do.

Excellent, and please also monitor any responses to my comments and keep track of who is engaging in personal attacks and trolls. This should be good.

Eh why? we don't claim anything of the same magnitude as you do, and anything we claim can generally be verified easily. You on the other hand have much to prove

Well, hopefully from now on we can have reasoned discourse without personal attacks and trolling. I think it would be a tremendous improvement for these forums.

Venture killing outside rookie systems?

No rules breached here. Just another ganker working towards moving players away from high-sec PVE.

There is no maximum difference in age to engage in combat or any other pvp that are cited in the rules.

Sure.

And, while we are at it, when does a new player stop being new? From your post I guess it is somewhere between 1 and 37 days, but it isn't quite clear to me when that transition takes place.

The obvious point is within the 14-day trial period. That character is without a doubt NEW. Whether or not the player is new, would be determined in part by ccp, who can see the age of the account and other characters.

2 of his 5 kills were clearly NEW characters, another 18-days old, and the remaining two older than 30 days.

I take issue with targeting and killing of NEW players. Further information revealed by him is that he has in part wrapped himself in RL religious reasoning, which is beyond the ability for any player to address in game without violating the code of conduct. If you are going to RP, then pick something in-game that can be dealt within the rules. Shooting someone, in and of itself, doesn't deal with the meta-game that is Eve.

WHY DOES IT MATTER!??!?!

Its better that "newer" players get accustomed to the fact that things in EvE go boom, and frequently.

As for the RL religion stuff.... I honestly think you may be a bit confused on the RL aspect of it. Several of the denizens of C&P do some light-to-heavy RPing when interacting with targets. It creates funny tears on occasion.

This is assuming you are not trolling, of course. At this point I am not so certain. If you are trolling, congrats, and ill give it a 7-10 based on the amount of hooked-line-and sinkers.

Only redeeming part of this thread is that a CONCORD Approved Trader showed up...they should really have a certificate for that, and some kind of mandatory ethics course.

Targeting new players with boring grindy pro-PVE influence is a greater crime than ganking them. All of you incursion people that encourage newbies to grind up for incursions should be banned. In fact incursions are causing great harm to newbies because of this so they should be removed from the game.

hahahahahhaha - an activity that can be done collaboratively and enjoyable in PvE fashion? Goon response - ban it. Unless you are actively trying to ruin someone's day and spread misery the Goon hive mine is unhappy and will try to get your gameplay banned. Can you guys be any more transparent?

As was said, if he sent you an inappropriate evemail, please petition it and let CCP know.

As to your problem with new players being blown up, you shouldn't worry about it. Unless someone is persistently targeting the same new player so their gaming experience is completely miserable, getting blown up once or twice during the trial is an excellent introduction to Eve gameplay. Ventures can be replaced by even a new player in one or two loads of ore, so losing one is no real loss at all. Much better they loose an easily-replaced Venture, than a Retriever or worse, untanked Hulk a few weeks/months later. Ideally, the ganker would take the time to educate the new player to techniques to avoid a gank (paying attention, d-scan, orbiting the asteroid etc...) and perhaps even replace the ship as I have often done before for new players with a good attitude to the game. But even without this, the lesson that mining is not without risk even in highsec is a good one to teach early when there is not much to lose.

But from his target selection, it seems more likely that he is/was targeting Ventures, not new players. This is because, despite what you might take away from the continual calls for nerfing suicide ganking in the forums, successfully ganking miners does require some practice and sufficient skills. A brand-new solo ganker will be limited to Ventures and untanked retrievers/covetors in 0.5 space for quite some time so it is expected that an eager new ganker will have to go after softer targets, including newer players, at the beginning of his or her career.
