Improve the Notepad plz

In-game Notepad is very useful to me, but it hasn't changed since I started playing in 2011.
And most importantly, it is somewhat broken because of these two things:
-Undo doesn't work
-All changes are saved automatically

Those two problems combined make it too easy to erase or ruin a note's content by accident (and I thought that game has too many confirmation dialogs). I would really like to see this fixed.

Workarounds are not bugfixes.

I'll add the 3900 char limit, which is pretty low.

Bookmark 10 objects, write a few things here and there and you're done.

yeah the 3900 chars limitation is ridiculous nowadays.

I'd add further that notes for systems would be nice as I don't recall having that option, or even for entire regions of space.
