[Video] Clash of the Empires (Empire PVP)

Hello again.

Now we are at the time of the year again where i'm releasing a new PVP video. Last video i made was 1 year and 4 days ago which was the 'Tama Fight' video that you can find in my signature.

As my play time when i was in Suddenly Spaceship was pretty limited, i did leave the corp. That's just normal to do when someone is really busy with real life and such if the CEO is kinda strict with that. After that, i decided to join 'The Marmite Collective (MYM8)' alliance to do empire wars again. And to say it right out, i have had tons of fun here so far. However, i'm pretty busy with real life again now, so there is times where i can disapear for like a week or two.

Anyways. This new video turned out to be a bit special. I will give you some examples on why.

1. The Marmite Collective is not what you think they are.
2. We did set a new record in the biggest PVP fight ever in EVE's history in Muvolailen (1 jump from Jita), in Jita and New Caldari.
3. This video proves that empire PVP is really fun and not boring as someone says.
4. Who needs to live in 0.0 space to do PVP when we can get fights like those in my video?

Alright. My video also turned out to be a bit shorter than i originally wanted it to be, but i decided to release it as it is now as i believe my play time in the coming months will be pretty limited and won't have the time to progress the video any further.

So let me introduce you the 'Clash of the Empires' video.

Hehe, someone who thinks that have never been doing empire PVP for a bloody long time.

Anyways, my original video file is encoded with 60 fps. Not sure if YouTube runs my video in 60 fps. So if someone can confirm if the video runs at 60 or 30 fps, it would be great.

At least i'm not the person who makes a video every months Big smile. If i have had more time to play EVE, i would probably be able to release a video maybe 2-3 times every year.

I don't think I've ever seen a better pvp movie. Garmonation and WPE just don't compare to this glory. 11/10

Oh the 'trying to be funny' meter just exploded Lol. Another funny thing is that this is coming from a guy who doesn't know how to spell 'video'.

holy **** Clash of Empire is the best movie of the year, **** WPE, **** Garmonation and lets not forget samurai revenge. This guy has some skilled on grid positioning, module managment and situation control

10/10 would recommend, I loved the part when you brought 2 falcons to break the domis, some baller plays right there

Ok, is this evidence that you didn't watch the video?

Because i did take damage as i did lose my Tempest in one of the fights.

Lost it while you weren't even pointed trying to burn 100km back to gate while shooting scythes and feroxes 70km away in a ship that has a barely 40km range...

High level playing right there.

Orbiting enemy in Blaster boat while not taking damage - check

Faction BS fleet and t2 logis vs t1 cruisers with t1 logis - check

Blobs where you cant see anything or tell whats happening for 10 minutes straight - check


Yeah its a Nightmare video alright.............................




At least he didnt shoot an enemy at 50km with void loaded in his blasters for 5 minutes this time.

Excellent refutation. One day I hope to have the balls like you to shoot things outside of my range.

As one of the best players in the game right now, you should have a good idea on the grip of the situation. Explain to me why despite outclassing and outnumbering the RvB fleet nearly 2 to 1, you still managed to lose half of your fleet. It's just so hard for me to comprehend how a band of such elite pvpers as marmite and friends could lose to scrub tier noobs like RvB. Thanks in advance.

And if you know RvB, then you know that they are experts at that type of PVP / fleets. They are 2-3 times better than us at that.

We had no faction BS'es in the fights against RvB. And most of our logistics was t1 ships. We had some t2 logistics, but it was very few. The last fight in New Caldari was the only fight where we had some t2 logistics.

Yeah, and it's a video where someone seems to be extremely butthurt because i can manage to be a part of the best empire PVP that is in EVE atm while others in here fails so much in EVE that they have to escape somewhere else to achieve something.

I shoot whatever that is primary. Have you heard about the thing called fleet discipline?

Learn that and you will figure out why i shoot the primaries even when they are a bit outside of the optimal range.

Alright NightmareX.

I do have to be honest here and say that i'm not impressed.
Zoomed out fleet pvp without any commentary ( high-sec or nullsec ) isn't exactly very fun to watch.
The few text edits in between don't really complement the shown footage.
The fact that you are the force outnumbering others doesn't make it amazing either.

Editting wise it looks pretty solid. Music fits in to the scale of the battles.
Other than that I do not see many positives. Alot of piloting mistakes, but I guess being in large fleets
piloting doesn't matter much.

I'd way rather see fleet battles in which piloting DOES matter, especially in situations YOU are outnumbered in.
If you can pump a video out like that with decent commentary you'll be getting way more positive feedback.

Its clear that you put a lot of effort into the making of this video.
For this I thank you and salute you.

That being said, as a new player, this doesn't look like much fun to me, to be perfectly honest...
Its a mess. And its fun for 1min but then it gets very old very fast, and I just started skipping chunks until I stopped.

I do however think that you are deserving of some thumbs up from the community, for actually making videos, and editing this kind of stuff is probably very time consuming, so again, thank you for providing content.

I can see how some people would see this as fun though. But the one thing about this that I don't get, is why on earth do you have to reply to every single comment, and in a way that seems like: 1) You're taking everything personally. 2) You're in a full power defensive position and won't admit even 1 single mistake, which then makes people attack you even more because you're incapable of taking productive criticism, which then makes people not provide criticism in a productive manner but in an offensive one, creating a vicious circle that only you have the power to break, but... 3) You're enjoying all this negativeness way too much, so you won't break it (by being humble. Humble does NOT equal losing face).

At least you're in a position, after years of skilling and learning the game, to create videos. Also you've learned how to edit videos which is another cool thing. For a lot of people like me who join the game, to be able to do something like this is still in a far away dream.

Anyway, the video is a good production!

Edit: also loved the music :-) and please try to see the good in this message rather than quote the 'bad' and just create more pointless drama, because I didn't mean anything as bad or harmful, but rather I think you should calm down and enjoy the positive side of the aftermatch of your hard work.
