Can anyone else figure out why Veers so relentlessly wants to grief new players by savaging their comparative income?

The difference is that you never had a large group of players with a significant SRP who sit in highsec all day, every day, suicide ganking people. It's not the mechanics that have changed, it's the desire of a large swath of the nullsec playerbase to try and make highsec uninhabitable for new/casual players.

You dont know what your talking about, macrointel was the organisation that preceded code way back in 2006 and our brutix's and fittings were paid for by nullsec alliances/t2 BPO holders.

Thanks for the reminder Haleuth. My apologies for the forum foo foo.

I know...it's crazy....he wants to make them able to generate income in highsec without blowing up as much....there is nothing more likely to drive them into bankruptcy and out of the game. I guess he is just one of those Goon alts who wants to squash any potential competition. Lucky we have others, like CODE, who do everything the can to make the game enjoyable for new players and encourage them to stay in the game. Big smile

Which, remember, only the already rich can really gain from.

Yeah, he wants to ruin the lives of new players.

Maybe I should support Veer's madness and then just start relisting in Jita.

If you think about purchasing power now, compared to five years ago, that's not too extreme of a supposition.

It makes buying a PLEX for sale pretty much mandatory, which means more money for CCP...

Ran my first ever maze back in 06/07? with 3 other relative newbies. We got enough to each buy a 60 day GTC.

So subscription plus mandatory plex. I see that being a great selling point to new players.

Not sure the likes of CODE, Bat Country, Never Ignorant Gettin' Goals Accomplished care if there is value or not.

Accept that you are going to get ganked. Every ship in this game is made to be destroyed. The idea is to minimise your losses :)

Who is responsible for nullsec safety?
That would be the people who live there, they actively make it safe, either via diplomacy, or warfare.

Gankers think highsec should contain risk, they've done something about it ingame.
You think highsec should contain less risk, what are YOU going to do about it ingame?

Nothing is the answer, you refuse to do something ingame about it, you want somebody else to do it for you.

You fail at the sandbox

Because runaway INFLATION is a major problem in highsec these days - not runaway DEFLATION.

You can't control territory in highsec like you can in null. There is no effective solution to get rid of the gankers. I can't bubble all the gates and deny them docking rights in the stations. Highsec isn't designed to let players enforce the law, it's designed to let police enforce the law.

Your sarcasm aside, this sentence is entirely correct.

Inflation is the major problem facing the game today, if you really want to get down to it. It means more grinding before fun can be had, first and foremost.

Oh, there are. But since they intrinsically involve not being a chickenshit, you can't actually do any of them.

To anyone observing, note how none of these are actually fighting for what he wants, just pushing a button for safety. That's what he wants, he wants a one stop guarantee that PvP won't happen.
