No, you are determined to not get it, it seems.

You are bot aspirant if you are not actively playing the game, while still claiming you should reap the rewards of playing the game.

Getting ganked at a belt is 100% avoidable.

Most of the freighters belonging to large cargo corporations (like RF) are worth watching as they navigate in highsec. Depending on their station of departure and destination, those freighters pass Uedama, Niarja, Aufay almost daily, but instead of going AFK, they check the kill boards to determine the 'safer' hours, scout the gates, use webifier escort in addition to the triple Reinforced Bulkheads (...How many times do we have to repeat these must-do safety steps...?)

Concerning miners, even the most fragile Covetor can avoid being ganked. Local and D-Scan: They're amazingly useful as an 'early warning' tool.

After witnessing it, anyone would agree that (as said many times before) if you actually play the game with the existing tools and mechanics, it's nearly impossible to die in Highsec.

A hauler who buys a 'permit' for protection is stupid. The advice examples I gave above bring enough protection. A permit should be purchased only if you want to support the CODE etc.
If you go AFK after buying a permit (thinking that you're safe), they will revoke it, and gank you, resulting in more humiliation towards yourself in their internet blogs.

Is the log-off e-warp guaranteed to be a success if the target is not pointed/scrammed/infini pointed or can you just bump it out of alignment to make it fail?

Jeeze OP.

You should become Code compliant buy a mining permit. A lousy 10M isk for a permit that lasts a year is much cheaper than loosing billions of isk in a freighter.

The New Order of which CODE. is one alliance is responsible for most of the ganks in Highsec. CODE. exploded over 1t ISK in the last month alone. This is more than most nullsec alliances of many people in this thread who shed their tears about our Agents recommendations to purchase a mining permit and follow the New Halaima Code of Conduct.

In fact if you get ganked in Highsec, chances are good that it was a New Order Knight and your loss could have been prevented if only you had purchased a mining permit for 10mil ISK per year and followed the code.

Just ignore the forum whiners here, check the killboard and trust in good old math.

All Highsec systems are the property of James 315 and the New Order. Accept James 315 as your saviour, follow the law and join the winning side, or GTFO our territory and go to lowsec or something..

That is awesome. I know people don't like CODE, but I think they (and goons etc) bring a crazy flavor to the game that's fun (to avoid and /or fight against).

At the end of the day, it's not "good guys" (innocent 'decent' gamers) vs bad guys (CODE and the like). It's "creative people who can keep a game in context AND have enough social skills to cooperate with others to make more fun" vs "socially challenged people trying to escape a probably crappy real life by pretending they are solo Captains of peaceful space going vessels only to be reminded by these A-HOLES that they are still socially challenged types that can't even organize resistance in a video game".

Might I add that you become a bot aspirant the second you jump your ship into a system currently occupied by criminals id est revoking your permit and making you a "legal" target. Summa summarum every ship is dead on the undock regardless of "permits". Lol

How did this turn into 5 pages? All OP asked was for some advice on avoiding gankers and it's my opinion that the advice that has given has been mostly useless.

Ganking is becoming a problem. Since many nerfs and buffs are the result of someone screaming that the game is unbalanced lets play this card right now.

The problem I see is that in my 10 year eve career, ganking can be seen in the same light as the "nano craze". Reasons why CCP decided to change the PVP landscape are:

•Speed must never reach ludicrous speed, which is defined as speeds where missiles and drones don't intercept the class of ship they were intended for.
• There should be a significant and meaningful difference in speed between the ship classes.
• Speed should not permit a larger ship to perform the role that a specialized ship was intended for.
• Afterburners should be a viable module selection for PvP.
• Guerilla warfare must remain a viable combat tactic.

If I try to apply the same logic to ganking in high sec then:
Ganking must never reach ludicrous levels, the levels we are seeing now when capitals are being ganked for the hell of it.
There should be a significant penality for engaging in ganking
Ganking should never replace traditional methods of obtaining ISK
Suitable strategies should be in place to ensure people are able to suitably protect themselves
Ganking should remain a viable gameplay.

Now my reasoning behind this is that over the years ganking always used to be the activtiy engaged in when the ultimate decision branched into two, The first is obvously the traditional hatred towards a player, the 2nd being the chance of success out weighed the penalty. We can't do anything about the first, hatred is hatred and that also includes LOL kills. The second is the penalty enforced with the criminal act. 100m loss 5 years ago was seen as a huge dip in someone isk, now its a drop in the ocean. change the penalty and allow people to protect themselves.

Alts, tanks, scouts, webby alts channels, moving lighter loads around, making yourself less of a target mean nothing at the moment since a lot of kills are being completed for not "following some sort of ******** new code"??

Ganking is more rare than it's ever been, buddy. If it weren't for CODE, who can only keep operating with huge financial backup, it would be almost nonexistent. It needs buffed, not nerfed.

What "levels"?

No one has ever produced a single shred of evidence that ganking has increased , despite the fact that they talk about it ALL the time..

It's one of those long time lies the carebear community is known for, EVE is dying, Ganking is increasing (and ganking/scamming chases people awy) and CCP better hurry up and change the game because SWG -SWTOR - Black Prophecy - Jumpgate -Star Trek Online - X Rebirth - Star Citizen/Elite Dangerous is going to kill it.
