I'm closing my accounts for good, High sec ganking Is way to out of control. Iv seen capital ships fall In high sec, I just lost a mining ship to 3 ships. It's BS, I'm not saying it shouldn't be impossible In high sec. But It should be harder, with much higher consequences then a 15 minute time out. And I know why CCP does little to nothing about it's because CCP wants people to loose isk, it keeps people buying PLEX's and keep the market flowing. But this @#$t is unreasonable, Iv seen a gang of 3 people kill 4 people an hour for 3 hours in high sec. As a miner loosing a tech 2 is ALOT of hours down the tube making isk to buy the ship, sh#$ happens i know that. But a group like that and the only worry they have a 15 minute time out @#$ing please. Iv been playing for 4 years and have 2 accounts, but seems recently high sec ganking really picked up. The pirate has little to no risk attacking someone who is just trying to move high value items they worked hours on in to get or make. With CCP saying your sol, yea people that lost their butt off are SOL because you designed the system. I can feel the trolls coming out from under neath their rocks ready to post, and I'm sure people that high sec gank are ready to respond to because they are the ones getting everything from people that play hard to actually make isk in the game while getting crapped on by CCP. It would understand if people that died by pirates were in low sec or null sec they know the risk. CCP favors pirates, the thought of making isk easy with low risk makes it more interesting right..

sorry to hear that buddy. yes gankers a scourge, hopefully CCP will clear them out of high sec in due time if enough people follow through and leave because of it.

ganking and most other forms of PvP belong in low, null and wormholes i feel.

95% of PvP in this game is the product of excruciating boredom. It's sold as a PvP game, painted as a PvP game but it isn't a PvP game. ISK and asset replacement is 9:1 unless you are doing what these people do. Barf out junk in suicide destruction scenarios.

Killing a mining ship or transport ship is not PVP, its for isk. Easy isk and easy kill with nothing to worry about other then a 15 minute time out.

No, it's boredom and misery mongering. They can't afford the fits to PvP in null and low so they garbage fit a Desi rather than grind their guts out to make Null PvP fleets.

The problem with civilization is the same thing that's good about it: It insolates people from the harshness of the physical world, creating enlighted people and weak knee'd smucks who can't handle video game loss all at the same time. Even though the OP is a troll, the fact is that some people are really like this, and it's pitiful.

This of course could easily be avoidable with a very affordable mining permit!

Minerbumping bingo card at the ready, two ticked off already. Please continue.

For eve players I was expecting a better conversation other then your weak Im tougher then you. How is killing a miner tuff? vegetuh is my mining alt, vianoes and iu buu are my mains. And for those of you who talk tough I bet all of you travel in gangs and are at the lower end of the damage on kill mails that does not make you tough. Or killing a mining ship or transport ship, thats like an adult going to a play ground to pick a fight. If anything the pirate killing a miner is the biggest coward for not picking a real fight. All I am saying is that people can go around killing all day in high sec with nothing to worrie about and its BS.

Gankers started to overkill the barges these days, it reached to 1:3 ratio just to guarantee they will have killmail, I think even if you have an OGB and tanked barge you will survive a gank ..lol

Lady Areola Fappington:  Solo PVP isn't dead!  You just need to make sure you have your booster, remote rep, cyno, and emergency Falcon alts logged in and ready before you do any solo PVPing.

You were in a 0.5 system in an untanked mach, not aligned and most likely AFK.

I've mined over 1.5 million M3 this week, don't have one of your fruity little mining permits. feel free to eatshit and die.

Avoiding this involves staying in .8 sec, watching for mining Anoms and buffer tanking your ship. My Macki has 40K Kin/therm and if I see known trash filling up local, I can get a Skiff to 110K. I mine to make AF's and Pilgrims because unlike you, I have the balls to step in to null sec.

Why were you mining in a .5 system when you are aware that there's active gankers and the only tank you bothered to fit onto your Mackinaw is a small tech 1 shield booster?
Use a little intelligence my good man.

OP, I feel your pain. The only way CCP will ever learn is to vote with your wallet and stop funding this cesspool of scum.

It's a shame you're leaving Eve but it's not a game for everyone. At the core of this sandbox is that others can interact with you and your playstyle might be different than theirs. You may not be able to prevent a gank entirely but there are ways to make it less enticing for gankers to pick you as their target.

mining veldspar in .5 sec, using a mackinaw, no tank, for some reason wasted rig slots on mercoxit and cap rigs. On the off-chance that this isn't a troll, try this next time:

[Mackinaw, New Setup 1]
Damage Control II
Co-Processor II
Mining Laser Upgrade II

Thermic Dissipation Field II
Kinetic Deflection Amplifier II
Adaptive Invulnerability Field II
Adaptive Invulnerability Field II

Modulated Strip Miner II, Veldspar Mining Crystal I
Modulated Strip Miner II, Veldspar Mining Crystal I

Medium Core Defense Field Extender I
Medium Core Defense Field Extender I

Mine while aligned to station at minimum speed.

Then there's always the Skiff...

OP, if you're not a troll, why do you think you should be 100% safe in highsec, with no need to take steps to protect yourself?

EVE would become very boring and uninteresting if you were 100% safe anywhere no matter what you did (being afk, not fitting any tank, not paying attention to your surroundings, etc.).

If, otoh, you don't think you should be 100% safe, then where's the problem? Don't you think your loss was easily avoidable?

Bottom line:
. EVE isn't 100% safe, that's what makes it great
. Everybody has the tools to avoid being ganked in highsec, it just takes effort

I don't mine but I regularly haul multi-billion cargo in highsec and lowsec, in 18 months I lost just a single hauler, in lowsec, because I willingly took my chances with the mwd+cloak trick at a gate I knew that was camped (got unlucky and spawned right next to a baddie).

Make space glamorous! Is EVE dying or not? Ask the EVE-O Death-o-meter!

I totally want you to lose isk so you can sell me more plex. (Which I will buy with isk that I took from you.)
