Best use for the Naga?

So I'm back after a long while and I'm wanting to fly a Naga. I understand it is best used as a sniper? What style of gameplay is it best suited for (PvP, Missions, Incursions, Factional warfare, group vs solo, etc)?

I'm mining in a Mackinaw, so I have the income to support it, and I already understand the "Doesn't matter what you do if you don't have the skills to support it" advice. Assuming that I have the skill to use the Naga, what sort of gameplay/tactics would I be aiming towards?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Naga is decent for PvP... specifically VERY long range sniping (150+ km). However, due to low volley damage you need a few of them to do anything more than frigate blapping.

That said... they are sometimes welcome in a decently mobile groups because they make scouts/interceptors a fairly uneasy and can provide pretty good sustained dps support at range.

They're fairly squishy it's worth noting, the whole class is actually,
both the talos and Oracle can field decent(ish) tanks by comparison but still PoP as soon as they have anyone's attention.
fun to fit and fly though, provided you can afford to replace a few.

There was this video flying around recently with blitzing l4s with the naga in lowsec, atleast that would be entertaining.

Very much so I'm afraid,
you could pve in it but I should expect that to end badly for you.
as I said if you're looking to pve in an attack battle cruiser I would go with the Talos as it has a drone bay lest you get pointed by an elite frigate and slowly pecked to death....which would be hilarious.

hopefully with a t3 bc you don't ever get caught by an NPC frig. I imagine spider drones would be the most dangerous thing. Although if you do get caught I imagine a whole bunch of other ships will suddenly start hitting you and the death will be rather swift as t3 bcs are rather squishy.

Naga is actually duo-material outside of FW low, thanks to 6 mids and a strong capacitor, you can squeeze in 2 webs and a point with 2 LSEs and a mwd and go kill some unsuspecting cruisers (since you can dualweb at 13km and shoot void at that range, or kite within 22-28km and shoot null.

Blaga is sexy.

They make good PvE ships for content that you can warp to at range and "range tank". Belts and combat anoms come to mind. You can do some level 3/4 missions in them, but it's best to try that for fun as opposed to maximizing profit.

Talos is great for l4 due ti 1100dps null dmg and drones like any ship some bling is nice mainly local tank.

Tier 3s are squishy to alpha in missions thats not that big of an issue.
