Annoying thing that happens when I tab out and tab back in

So occasionally when I am in space and tab out, I'll go back to my EVE client and it will say something like "Warp to", "Align to", "Lock target", and more commands like that. The tabbing back in causes this mechanic to occur even though I didn't hit the keyboard commands to initiate it. So far this hasn't gotten me in any trouble and it's not game breaking but sweet mary and joseph is it annoying. Any idea what causes this and what I can do to get rid of it?
