What's going on? Look at this list of those involved. This could be serious.

Getting the Society of Conscious Thought to pay attention to anything is extremely difficult, so that would suggest whatever is going on must be quite notable. However, I am also somewhat confused. I am currently a resident of wormhole space myself, and have noticed no apparant changes in sleeper activity.

The rational and hysterical parts of my brain are divided on what this means, so I submit two possible theories:

Rational: The Sleepers are organizing in a subtle way that is so grand in scale that it is simply invisible to small Capsuleer groups, but not the Empires and CONCORDs massive and well organized scouting networks. This is extremely ominous, and could suggest that they might finally be reacting to our intrusions into their space and preparing a counter-invasion. Since the Sleeper ships are considerably more advanced then the ones employed by the navy, and have no objective that incentivises keeping civilians alive as Nation does, this could do a great deal of ill. (Although, that is not the only thing that could be happening. They could simply be trying to communicate.)

Hysterical: There is no Sleeper activity, and what is presently going on is a front for mainstream cluster forces to justify moving into wormhole space, and displacing the Capsuleers setting up there. After all, what would have happened if they - we - had won the recent "research race"? Sleeper technology is filled with fantastic potential that we have only begun to tap, and at the moment the Empires are completely dependent on Capsuleer genoristy to harvest it for themselves. And that generosity could expire in a moment, giving them an increasingly great technological advantage as they are allowed to develop outside CONCORDs reach.

The invitation of the Society to one of these gatherings is-- well, new, to say the least. I hadn't thought of them as a consulting group, despite the breadth of their experience and expertise. Likewise, the choice of corporate consultants is fascinating. Duvolle evidently does a goodly amount of abstract research including weapons and cloning, whereas Zero G-- well, Zero G is the odd one out. Clearly, we've seen their involvement in the Sisters' ship design, presumably for purposes of developing isolation or medical pods. I can't imagine their use here, excepting if they're consulting on the design or structure of Sleeper structures. Propel Dynamics is an easy enough one, though, given their drive focus.

So-- the rather engaging question is what will result from these talks. I suspect there will be a leak or a news release in the coming weeks.

I wonder. Could Tukoss-haan's reappearance by tied to this all?

If we will believe in Rational theory and Hysterical theory is right, we simply waste resources for deploying defenses and nothing happens.
If we will believe in Rational theory and Rational theory is right, we will be prepared to attack and save many lives

If we will believe in Hysterical theory and Hysterical theory is right, nothing happens.
If we will believe in Hysterical theory and Rational theory is right, we will be caught off guard by sleepers, and their attack will be devastating.

Thus, I think that it will be way more beneficial if we will follow the first theory, even if it won't be right.

On a trivial note, I can't help but notice that apart from the Sisters of EVE and the Society of Conscious Thought, that panel of experts they're calling in is extremely heavy on the Gallente and Caldari. I'm not objecting, I'm just a little surprised - I figured they'd at least get Eifyr and Co on board.

Either way, I've been a little out of the loop for a few months but this - combined with the incredibly cryptic message from Hilen Tukoss (or from... something using Hilen's comm ID) I have to say I'm aflame with curiosity.

Has anyone attended the meeting or were present at the area when the meeting was held?

Has there been any conversation present during their congregation on the channel?

The meeting was very short on planning and closed. We are lucky to even know about it and who was there.

As I have understood it, the meeting held place behind closed door.

But I myself wish to know what was said, especially knowing that these gallenteans from Duvolle Labs were present. They are definitely up to something, if we knew what they are planning now, we could counter and stop them in time.

In fact, I am way more worried about gallentean movements in regarding of this, instead of sleepers. Sleepers are distant and virtual threat, while gallenteans is the real and persistent threat to all the life in our cluster.

Yes, it would require using your head for thinking.

But... ergh, just forget it.
I shouldn't be SO demanding to tribals. Especially brutors.

Yeah. The entirety of the Republic (a misnomer by the way) is a Confederate of Tribes. It's not an insult, it's an irrefutably true statement that Republic-aligned Matari are very proud of.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

of which, i am sad to say, i have never been able to truly count myself part of. heh, its rather doubtful that had my personal -erm- history been different, that i would have even been part of the brutor tribe.

its all rather academic to me, tbh, and hence not the least bit offensive.

aside: i owe an apology to all those assembled for contributing to the derailment from the topic at hand. i shall endeavor to refrain from such behavior in the future.
