This is an important point. Hooking things to timers is infinitely superior to hooking them to Downtime.

Downtime is downtime. Nobody can log on during that time, regardless of timezone. So why would it matter if the bubbles turn off on DT? Why should some people have to go out and put up new bubbles when others have the advantage of being able to leave their bubbles up over DT?

Because it would mean some people's bubbles would last 23 hours and other people's would last 1 hour, depending on what time zone they are in and when they can play.

Oh, this thread again, and after a brief skimming, well isn't that interesting. It appears that the nullsec players don't think it's a big deal and the renters/nullbears are in outrage.
