I activated my account with the free 10 days to see what has changed in the game and if I should come back. I loaded up the launcher, logged in, let it patch, and when I hit play it loads up the client to the screen that has the options are "Setting", "EULA", and "Connect" and then it says "The connection to the server was closed."

When I hit "Connect" it says: "The authentication token provided by the launcher is of an invalid format."

I have tried the repair tool twice and also disabled my anti-virus program incase that was it. I have also tried going into the settings in the launcher and clearing cached client data and clearing user specific client settings.

I am at a lost as of what to do next. I have tried searching for the error and a lot of them seemed like server side problems where it fixed itself over a few hours. But I have been waiting since yesterday now. Any suggestions?

So...I decided to try uninstalling and then reinstalling. I completely removed everything, downloaded the offline installer and installed it. Started it up...and guess what. Still the same problem...

Any suggestions? I already have a nice warm feeling on coming back to the world of Eve offline...

I just tried going to the bin folder and just loading up evefile.exe instead of going through the launcher. It still gives me the "The connection to the server was closed." when I try to log in.

Are their any TSRs that could help me out and give me a suggestion?

So...it is coming to the end of my free 10 days and I am still unable to log in. I have even completely uninstalled and reinstalled again with an offline installer. I am still getting the same "The connection to the server was closed."

Also...It looks like I have had no help at all from any staff. I guess you guys aren't interested in getting people back into the game?

This is pretty pathetic tbh, I don't think CCP even cares about this part of the forums.
