I guess I am not the only one having problems.
I tried to check out a Golem torpedo fit, and it seems like Caldary BS skill level doesnt affect the range of torpedoes (or explosion velocity for that matter - just checked it).
Or is it because Caldary BS lvl 5 is need for a Golem, and it calculates the range as if the skill is level 5, no matter what it actually is?

my crome start on another homepage , and i have a few progs like my pc update , cant remove .
tomorow i can again format my pc for this and instal eve and all progs again for this fail download link .

The primary link is an annoying paygate choked site. Switch to dropbox or something sane.

first, good tool as always.
But is it possible to implement a POS Planner since the "IGB-POS-Planner" is outdated. Would be awesometastic.

Does anyone else experience the following issue?

I have a very difficult time changing ammo in any fit. Whenever I attempt to access the right click menu in a high slot to change ammo, look at ammo stats, etc., EFT freezes. I have deleted all previous versions, deleted all saved fittings, etc, yet the error persists. It seems that the error is limited to high slots,as I am able to access the right click menu on the medium, low and rig slots without the program freezing for 5-10 seconds. When the program responds I am usually unable to access the right click menu and must restart. After restarting, I am sometimes able to access the right click menu for the high slots and sometimes not--more often not.


The only change I made to the program is to cut and paste the custom damage types to config file that are found all over the web to better evaluate my tank(s). I removed these lines, saved and restarted. I still encountered the same error.

Any ideas?

P.S. Please don't force me to eve hq's fitting tool - that thing is beyond frustrating.

Edit: The error occurs in both 2.24.1 and 2.23.3. I still have the zip file for 23.3

Yeah, got this problem too. You are not alone and I haven't changed things in the configfile.

Seems like the new back-end changes make it nearly impossible for those who want to alter old EFT files to keep up with the coming changes in a timely manner, which means it's probably time to move on from EFT sadly. o7, thanks for the years of use, but moving on to Pyfa. :( Too long between updates, spammy download sites. v0v

First of all many thanks to Gripen for developing this great tool which has obviously become the de-facto standard in Eve for 3rd party fittings now that CCP has implemented a direct important/export feature to EFT in Eve. PYFA is a nice tool too, but I prefer EFT.

I have two suggestions to make it even better.

1) Show rep transfer
I might be missing this but EFT does not seam to show the actual rep transfer for a fit. You can of course work with "projected effects" and another ship, but it would be much better to just have another column which shows the rep transfer for each module including current skills and to have a total sum of rep transfer shown in the stats. PYFA does this btw.

2) Compare tool
It would be fantastic to have a compare tool in EFT like there is in Eve. This would allow to quickly compare the stats of each module variant and pick the best one for for job. I often have the compare tool in Eve open while using EFT, but having this in one tool would be much better. And since the data already is in EFT all that would be required is another window for selection.

If i understand you correctly, you can find what you are looking for when you a) open "View -> Selected Item Info" window, b) select the repair modul in your fitting and c) see how attribut value of armor-/shieldbonus is changing when you change skill level of a character.

a) Open "View -> Selected Item Info" window, b) select your module, c) in "Selected Item Info" window right click on attribute you want to compare and click "Show on Fitting Panel". When you open a module group now you can see this attribute on bottom side of "View -> Fitting Panel" if module owns that attribute.

In EFT the warfare link module "Information Warfare Link - Electronic Superiority" does not increase strength of "ECM Burst" modules.

The skills Fighters and Fighter Bombers on a character that is used as a bonus ship pilot increase shield and armor HP on the boosted ship.

Why do you want to prevent people editing ship/module stats when you yourself don't even release a new version when the patch is actually out?
