I have heard there is some way to prioritize an Excel spreadsheet in Windows so that it floats on top of the full screen eve client. Does anyone here know how to do this?

Spreadsheets in space indeed.

I'm on a Mac, but I imagine something to do with the borderless windowed mode setting.

Or just use a Google Docs spreadsheet from within the in-game browser.

I always assumed googledocs was too dang fancy for the IGB.

It mostly works well enough. There's a few nits like having to hit enter after editing a cell rather then being able to just arrow-key off of the cell and have it save. The in-game browser is based on (I think) Webkit, so it's a fairly good browser.

For instance, when we do a shared-can mining op, we'll track the results, payout and distribution in a GDocs spreadsheet. Which is great, because everyone can follow along and make sure that their name is spelled correctly and that they got clocked in/out properly. So instead of the fleet logistics being a black box, the younger members can follow along and learn as they go.

That sounds great for that. (Un)fortunately, I haven't mined in about two years, so the only thing I use google docs for is corporate management :sob: and for that it's great. Got spreadsheets for everything. Ugh

(For anyone taking me seriously, it's a new challenge that i actually enjoy. If you fall into helping run a corp, it's a profoundly different experience from being a grunt in one)

Set the eve client to use "fixed window", then you can alt-tab around etc

I found the easiest way was to have 2 screens. Multi tasking made easy
