So i recently activated this account again for wormhole exploration. The problem is my Tengu it keeps flying backwards. I know people will say clear your cache well i did and it doesn't work for me...

I did:
Reset all cache through the ingame menu => didn't work
physical delete the whole EVE map which include the cache folder in local settings => didn't work
I thought it might have been because i have 2 clients running, so i did the same for both => didn't work
Jumping in other ship, quit game then clear cache, get back in tengu => didn't work

So yeah clearing cache files just doesn't work for me it seems. So any ideas how the hell i can fix this because it's so annoying to watchWhat?

Do you also get a loud klaxon and a female voice saying 'the vehicle is reversing' repeatedly ? Lol

J/k , Sorry couldn't resist , hope you get your issue sorted soon .

I think i would self-destruct my ship then :p Hopefully the new patch thingie might magically fix it.

Well the patch fixed it half it seems.... Now my Tengu is flying normal BUT.... the engine trails start in front of the ship and not in the back like ... with the engines.

So now i'm burning my cockpit, and also the middle part of my Tengu just magically disappeared now.

This is an older issue, did you just return to EVE Online after a break?

The cause is outdated cache files, which is a leftover from the switch from left handed to right handed coordinate system. T3 ships get partially cached including how the graphics engine is suppose to display them.

You can read all about clearing your cache here: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Clearing_the_cache_and_settings

Yes i did, but i already tried the cache thing. Both ingame and out game. Both have proven to be unsuccessful.

I run Windows 7, so i deleted %LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\ for both my clients just to be sure and so far it didn't work.

If it helps i took a break after the Tyrannis update.

Problem fixed by doing something so simple that i've completely forgotten about it..... use the frakking repair tool!

So thx for the replies, but i guess it can be closed :)
