After the patch drops on 4th Nov the prices of all isotopes will crash as the volume needed will drop hugely because of jump fatigue.
General use of all capitals we drop hugely causing isotope availably to out number demand by big margins.

Then why are they increasing in price now, 5 days before the expansion? If you are right, smart people should be already selling all their stock.

To cash in before the patch....
Smart people are selling & have been since travel changes were mentioned back in September.
With the amount of capitals moving stuff from null sec to low sec before the patch hits is incredible.
Sellers know that they can make a killing before patch so prices of isotopes has increased.
Post patch is another story with huge decreases in capital movements due to fatigue.
Isotopes sales will be slow, volumes will grow, prices will fall.

Ok, that.... did not make sense at all.

I think that they're saying because of the announced changes, lots of people are evacuating their stuff from null sec while it's still relatively easy causing an increase in isotope demand, after the patch when jump drives have a cooldown less isotopes will be used and the price will fall.

Volume graphs in Jita don't support this theory. They're up recently, but about what you'd expect with all the 10 days free peeps kicking around (hi!).

Other than that, it's a very sound theory. If I had lots of crap to move around in null I'd be doing it now, while it's still fast, cheap and easy. I wouldn't have done it a month ago, since, well, I'd need to use those stuffs, not just warehouse them. Now in the last few days before jumpocalypse I'd be buying isotopes off of sell orders to haul months or years worth of ratting dross to Jita.

Alliances have had a long time to plan, so aren't causing the spikes. It may still be viable to fuel POSes via jump freighters, but there will be hundreds of B less jump fuel used to hotdrop people for lulz. That's the whole point of jumpocalypse. Demand IS going to go down, and lots more will be produced in null to simply avoid the logistics headaches.
