This trading post is certainly spot on, however I will add a couple cents for the folks that don't like sell orders outstanding.

I use Jita for selling my goods only, but i check the buying prices and adjust my away from Jita / Dodixie region buy orders with enough profit 30 percent or greater , so that I can load up my hauler alt and run to Jita for instant sells to waiting buy orders.
Since Jita is so competitive, the buy price is always higher. You just have to manually jump to these pirate invested hubs.

Yes, it's work, but it's easy afk type of pickups, with one big watch your butt drop off.

This is really solid advice, and could be of good use to somebody using the region-wide trading system I talked about earlier. You do end up with a lot of ... detritus ... scattered throughout the region, single units in systems that nobody really visits, etc. If it ever got the point where you needed to do some clean-up, collecting the whole lot with a hauler alt and shipping them over to Jita for a quick sell to buy orders might be a very effective means of doing so. Just have to make sure to check Jita prices beforehand.

I assume for the goods that show up in low sec systems, you have a cloaky hauler or something of the likes to get through these systems safely?

This was always my main concern with region-wide trading, that I'd have goods pop up in low sec and be unable to get them out safely.

That's the easiest way to do it. Blockade runners are awesome for low-sec work due to being able to warp while cloaked and decent align times even while cargo expanded. Especially so since mobile warp disruptors can't be used in low sec.

You can use other ships as well, like fast frigates with good cargo size like a Heron with warp core stabilizers, depends on how much cargo capacity you need.

Alternatively you can use a regular hauler and the cloak-MWD method. Jump into system, align to exit gate or station, turn on MWD, cloak (MWD turns off but finishes it's cycle), then when you get up to warpable speed decloak and you should warp instantly without giving your would-be attackers a chance to target you. Once you get good at this, it'll be almost as good as good a blockade runner.

Honestly, I haven't ever really worried too much about it. I tend to let this type of "detritus" be. Under normal circumstances, I treat items that pop up in low-sec systems like any other inventory. I put it on sell orders at the station where it sits. Worse comes to worst, you can just fob it off on another another region-wide buy order. In any case, I don't think it would be such a big deal to transport those things in a fast frigate if you really felt the need to. Unless it was a stack of implants or something, you wouldn't be much of a target.
