Drone Groups

For the farmer more then the pvper

When you split your drones up in groups, so your able to set then to more then 1 target at ones.

then you can change your drone "attack" button "F" to F1 for group 1, F2 for group 2, F3 for group 3, and so on if you only use drone boat.

But now you only have 1 attack shortcut for ALL drones, but would be nice to be able to make custom shortcut for a set group of drones.

I would also like drone group names to show up by hullt type e.g. I have gila hammers 1,2, and 3 that show up on all ships in the drone group list. I'd like them to show up only for gila hulls.likewise with sentry groups etc etc.

Yeah, we can link all the other weapon systems, and use each group with a firing key. It does seem odd that we can't do the same with drones.

I hate trying to bring in a solitare busted drone for repair and sending the others off to attack... Then turn around and tell the loner, "Yes, I really meant, 'Come Home!'"

What would it take to make this happen?

As a workaround assign the drone to a group called 'repair' then you can at least single it out from the attack

Is this really that bad idea?

if you can set F1 or F2 or F3 for any other weapon system why not be able to do that to the drone groups?
