Guardian or Basilisk to get into incursions easier

I want to do incursions and I heard that the best way to get into fleets for them is to fly logi.

Which should I train to maximize my chances of getting into a fleet for incursions: basilisk or guardian?

Scimitar > Basilisk > Oneiros > Guardian

Shields see more diversity in sites run, so the cap transfer of a Basi will still see use in HQs. Armor fleets tend to do VGs where cap transfer isn't as needed.

Also, all channels have a strong preference for logi 5 over logi 4, because the bonuses on the ships is far more than worth it.

Most incursion communities will only take Scimitar's, definitely train that.

Well that is very sad, so MOST incursion fleets will NOT take a basilisk and logi 4? I have to change training again to do scimitar?

This is definitely not easy to get into.

Most incursion communities will take Basilisks and Guardians. Just have the right fit for the job.

However, I do recommend getting Logi 5 trained because that gives more options in fleets.

Oneiros and Scimitar are in bigger demand for Incursion fleets because of her tracking links, especially since the changes to battleship mwds what reduced the need for cap transfers to keep the fleet running considerable.

While there are more shield fleets around, the need for pilots is bigger in armor channels, so you might get on grid quicker there. You also can fly hulls like the Exequror as armor logi with 4 links and Cruiser 4 in any armor channel except for TDF, with the fittings listed in the fitting mailing lists or the "OIC - T1LCP" skill progression mailing list from OIC.
