Actualy the game did not run past closed beta phase 3 on my computer, (i kept getting the misplaced character bug, people that were around back than will remember how undocking was getting your character lost so a GM had to move it for you) after much attempts to get it fixed i did not look at eve anymore untill CCP send me a thank you mail for participating in the beta. "14 days of promotional game time

And than eve worked again and i kept paying and playing. untill the last few years where i have kept paying but not playing , offcourse my sp will be lower than normal. As for BIG , it was a great corp. if you were a pvping member you got everything for free. all the tools you needed to pvp for free. you can say what you want , i know where i have been and what i have done.

Its just sad there are no goals anymore now. I made this post before i leave looking what the other really old vets are upto. how they are still finding reasons/goals to play.

My point still stands though,

You bigged up your quitting post with "I've been here since Beta, look at me, whine whine whine" when in fact, you weren't. You had issues in Beta and then bogged off for over a year before coming back and playing the game a full year after launch. You're quitting, you're a veteran, we get it, but seriously, did adding "Beta player" add anything other than self importance to your post?

As for BIG, sure, they were okay I guess, but when a corp get's a bigger reputation for the Lottery it runs than the fighting prowess of the Alliance it's in, well it's going to get fun poked at it. Especially by a former Curse Alliance arch enemy. P

Sure, it sucks when the goals you have are gone, I agree - I've quit several times myself - partly why you don't see me on that original character from way back when. He got deleted when I started over to make myself a new goal.

But all that aside, I poked fun because, you know, you could have said it all without coming across like a "ex-Beta player more important than other plebs that I'm quitting" pompous git.

Sounds like you've done about the whole trip, OP-- including herding many cats. Congrats on that. [In my opinion] The sandbox can get old, and also the repetitive in-alliance interactions can get old, too. Blood mates leave, new guys come in, some good, some bad, some indifferent. Maybe the indifferent ones drag most on the desire to resub. It's bound to turn into a repetitive cycle. If it didn't seem a little no-fun after a few thousand days, you might not be thinking right. Smile

Give yourself a break as long you want, man. Come back whenever you feel like it again.

Also, to all those asking for OP's stuff: Shame on you. This man is obviously on the edge of either a long break from Eve, or a quit. How dare you all ask for his stuff. Maybe he has a use for it still! Maybe his alts will use it. Maybe he will let corpies borrow it. Maybe he will let it all sit on an idle account. It is for that man to decide. Stop being vultures. Also, I have permadibs on stuff.. so.. get in line.

Confirming that UAE has dibs on any person's possessions if they decide to part ways with EVE, permanently or temporarely.

Its been a long time and i have spend thousands of hours in eve. At one point i had 4 accounts. I was top ranking on the killboard. I been in massive wars. Capital ship fights. Small high speed roaming. Bs fleet bashing. Fcing. Plexing...

I done all i can think of in eve.

My character now having reached. 156 mil sp.

Over the last 6 months i have kept paying but not playing.

I liked to think i would keep atleast one account going forever. For supporting the people that made all the fun i once had possible.

My problem with eve. There are no reasonable goals i can still achieve.

Any other 10+ year old people that have the same problems? What do you do?

After over 10 years payment my account will expire on 6 nov 2014 Cry

Dude just take a break, world wont end because you get break or stop playing eve, personaly im exhausted from EvE to, got 130+mil sp , and nothig to do anymore, being part of big community isynt always good and isynt somthing that people always need, somtime people need to calm down and rest.

Long time ago i was almost fanatic of this game, but even you love somthing you cant be slave of x thing...

Presonaly i wont play EvE until it change, there still big of lacks and EvE is far away from perfect SF simulator, how about space ships game conected to ground on large scales, like world in mass effects etc.. i know that never happens so i wont back for good...

Enjoy your fredom stop be slave of game even its good, take break, play somthing else, find new hooby etc.

I know that feeling, since 3 years i just pay for sub and swiching skills...but this isynt playing.

If it bleed we can kill it.

This amount is blowing my mind.

To the OP, someone suggested applying for an ISD position in another post. Pass on what you know.
