Character Naming Policy?

This is a question about the character naming policy, and the lack of enforcement. I won't copy the rules here directly, but here is a link for anyone wondering: http://community.eveonline.com/support/policies/eve-user-policy/

Is this not something that action is taken upon anymore? I will not cite specific cases (without being given CCP/ISD/GM permission), but there are characters with names of which myself and others have reported that not only violate the lighter sections of the policy, but wholly apply to the "These characters and their assets will be immediately deleted upon discovery and disciplinary action may be taken against the player’s account." subsection. And yet, these characters retain their name in the game.

Now, unless I am mistaken, if a character is forced to change their name, or is deleted, that name should not appear in name player searches ingame, so why is it that GMs are not flagging characters for name change (or deletion) when they are taking the time to reply, even with just stock answers? Obviously, this is not a huge issue affecting gameplay, but it is a clearly defined rule that goes toward keeping Eve a 'family friendly atmosphere', that ought to keep us from seeing characters flying around named after sexual acts, or swear words.

Thank you.

All you can do is report it. I have seen CCP change the names of characters and corporations that were deemed offensive, but as with forums, I think they are inclined to let some edge cases stay.

Will I get banned for boxing!?!?!

Honestly it has to do with how much effort they are willing to expend towards something no one is complaining about, or at least very few are, since the age of most EVE players is upper 20's to low 30's, most people have learned to just ignore such names, i mean, its not as if theres a whole lot of "impressionable youths" runnign around the game (or if there were, theyd have been the ones picking those names to begin with anyways)

Report the character names. CCP makes their decisions from there. They do have a process to make these decisions.

They may have a process, but the question is whether or not they care to follow it.
