I have mates coming back who are re-subbing due to the new content in the new patch.

Half of them are just re-subbing to watch loads of people cry and whine.

Dont go just yet you may actually find the new patch is the best game changer in EvE's history.

On 0.0, totally. This was something that needed fixing IMO. Space has become 'way' to small.

If they could fix BM's, I'd be totally up for getting rid of warp to zero. Yeah, people would hate it, but ... you have your own rat routes setup, and when you go off piste it's slower. Anyway, side issue lol

I will bit hit hard as I normally only move in 0.0 under cap power, but, eager to adapt and survive as this change could bring a much more 'local' nature to EVE... looking forward to it.

My problem with eve. There are no reasonable goals i can still achieve.

Any other 10+ year old people that have the same problems? What do you do?

Yup , kept changing what i do over the last 3 years to keep it as interesting as possible but around the summer i decided that enough was enough.I check the forums daily as a habbit though so a full retirement is not something i intend on.

I have plexed my account till somewhere half 2018 , got the isk to plex multiple accounts for a lifetime so meh why not , and will be using the new skillqeue system to just set a years skilling on so that i don't have to log in for anything unless it is occasionally for a chat with old mates.

If and when i will be playing fully again is something i have no clue about , but there is a decent chance that this time i will not be coming back to ''undock''.I don't intend to buy a new pc rig anywhere in the next years and this one is starting to become outdated , add to that that i bought myself an xbox one yesterday and i really can't see myself undocking for the next years to come.

We'll see though , it's eve and if there is one thing that is more addictive then seks it's eve.I can't think of any game wich could keep me interested for a year so i've been quite happy with CCP providing me 10 years of fun and excitement.

Ow and for those who wonder , no you can not have my stuff it will collect dust with meBlink , though i was nice enough to hand 100 B in plex to some close friends last week who still enjoy the game. They normally pay with cash so the least i could do was give their rl finance a few years without eve costsLol.

We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.

Given the length of time OP has spent playing, I am sure he has accumulated a large quantity of various stuffs.

Might I implore you good sir to gift any Fedos, wayward Prostitutes or unwashed isk to Doc?

You would think that someone that has been around so long would know the correct forum to use.

CCP recognize that during the course of gameplay a lot of friendships are made between players and that sometimes if a player is taking a break or departing from the EVE universe that they would like to say goodbye on the forums. Posts of this nature are only permitted on the Out of Pod Experience forum, and must be civil and well worded

11 year vet as of april 1st.

130m sp's (kids use implants, otherwise.. yea.. but I die too much so low sp's for me!)

I just got out of wane period where I was a bit bored with eve. Seems to be slowly getting my 12th wind.

How I do it is I usually get really annoyed at something and want to fix it. my 11th wind I had a corp theft while I was on a small break, it lite a fire under me for about 6 months, now i'm looking that eve could be getting some cool stuff so I want to rebuild my corp and make a new alliance.

Eve is like real life, there are many things you can do that you prolly have not, either because you figured it might be boring, or you just never got around to it. Rack yoru brain and try it out. Or set a goal for yourself, be it see every system to mine x amount of ore. Its not really hard to find a reason to play again, I have done it 12 bloody times now (damn you eve and your crazy ways)

But if you must leave, I will be more then happy to hold it for you, you contract to DaReaper.

But the key is to think 'what have I not done today' and try it. My new goal is to rebuild my corp, create my third alliance, and attempt to conquer space without renting. I will most likely fail, but it will be fun trying

Wait until CCP add new goals to the game, there is also the possibility that constructible stargates will be added in the next year, which could lead to new possibilities along with a sovereignty revamp. No shame in taking a break from eve.

I know how you feel, I often have periods where I do little more than janitorial skill queue updates, I can do so many different things with this character (Perfect mining, manufacturing, research, small > cap combat), it makes it slowly harder to have goals to strive for, especially when ISK is less of a factor and you have billions + all of the stuff you wanted.

Have you tried playing drunk?

Also, to all those asking for OP's stuff: Shame on you. This man is obviously on the edge of either a long break from Eve, or a quit. How dare you all ask for his stuff. Maybe he has a use for it still! Maybe his alts will use it. Maybe he will let corpies borrow it. Maybe he will let it all sit on an idle account. It is for that man to decide. Stop being vultures. Also, I have permadibs on stuff.. so.. get in line.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Around since Beta yet your character history doesn't begin until a year after game launch?

10 years and only 156m sp?

Top ranked pvper, yet you were in... BIG... P

It's your quitting post, not your resume, less padding please! Lol

PS. Stuff please. Twisted

Actualy the game did not run past closed beta phase 3 on my computer, (i kept getting the misplaced character bug, people that were around back than will remember how undocking was getting your character lost so a GM had to move it for you) after much attempts to get it fixed i did not look at eve anymore untill CCP send me a thank you mail for participating in the beta. "14 days of promotional game time

And than eve worked again and i kept paying and playing. untill the last few years where i have kept paying but not playing , offcourse my sp will be lower than normal. As for BIG , it was a great corp. if you were a pvping member you got everything for free. all the tools you needed to pvp for free. you can say what you want , i know where i have been and what i have done.

Its just sad there are no goals anymore now. I made this post before i leave looking what the other really old vets are upto. how they are still finding reasons/goals to play.

This thread has been moved to OOPE.

And OP, if you feel sad to leave this wonderful game and want to help newer players out or contribute to other aspects of EvE, you might want to give joining one of the ISD teams a try. That way you still keep connected to arguably the best game around and have the opportunity to use your expertise in/on it in a positive way. Just a thought.

Same here, for years I been playing this game. Most of my friends have left, and few got forgotten.
I tried to revive my interest by joining others corps.. Being low sec, 0.0 or high sec I couldn't find my self any more.
I done just about everything on this game, including ganking and corporate theft with various chars that are now on the hands of other players.
I finally created this corp and I just log in to change skills, once I run out of isk then hopefully I'll be interested on playing again or my accounts will go dormant for a long time.

No I won't give you stuff, might need it if I play again.

Heck my corp name says it all, it's my go to die corp, while my ships gather tick layers of soot once the shields die off from loosing power.

Flay safe, kill much.
