One does not simply "see" a black hole...

What you potentially observe is the theoretical 'Hawking radiation' (which is extremely weak and hard to detect) and the accretion disk. There has been experiments to visually observe the Event Horizon, but so far to no avail...

Edit: I should have read all of the thread first... Oh well...

LOL CCP did the effects for wormholes back in 2009. Hollywood is late.
