Problems:
1) The friends I have tried to get to join Eve play for a little bit but quickly stop playing.
2) Faction Warfare is broken ( issues have been stated in other posts)
3) Walking in Stations having a purpose.

Solution:

I am docked in a Federal Defense Union station and walk out of my quarters, down the corridor one of the environments is a room filled with Gallente Commanders overlooking a holo-table. These commanders are have their obvious ranks giving you locations of battles currently taking place varying in difficultly depending on which commander you talk to.

Now that I have a location in contested space I need to pick a ship. The commander told me the intel of the situation requires no more than a battlecruiser. My Brutix is fitted accordingly and i warp to the battlefield to fight for the Gallente ideal.

Once i warp into the instance theres a screen full of both players and NPC's fighting on their respective sides, but i know who is on each side. In this case, Caldari have taken control of a Quafe Station and the battle has formed around the station. NPC's fill out the battle similar in scale to fleet battles in null sec but there is also Caldari pilots fighting for their cause.

Conclusion:

Fixing Faction Warfare must be done to add more causal gameplay to Eve. This is obviously important if CCP is to bring new blood into the game. I remember first playing the game and that Faciton Warfare button looks like so much fun, but what is it. It turns out that I am better off doing my missions by myself. However, missions arent dynamic or emergent and they are always the same set of missions.

Use the tail-system to create first the objective and where its at then the npc's on both sides. Faction Warfare ideally would be the glue between your beginning stages missioning and later venturing out to null sec; thats what i thought it was when i first started playing.

Overall, I would love to see more of the culture of my birth faction walking to a Agent's Office or a Battle room filled with commanders working. While walking to start my activity I want to see people on the station.

Bottom line dont waste the tail system lord knows how many man years went into the damn thing!
