Its been a long time and i have spend thousands of hours in eve. At one point i had 4 accounts. I was top ranking on the killboard. I been in massive wars. Capital ship fights. Small high speed roaming. Bs fleet bashing. Fcing. Plexing...

I done all i can think of in eve.

My character now having reached. 156 mil sp.

Over the last 6 months i have kept paying but not playing.

I liked to think i would keep atleast one account going forever. For supporting the people that made all the fun i once had possible.

My problem with eve. There are no reasonable goals i can still achieve.

Any other 10+ year old people that have the same problems? What do you do?

After over 10 years payment my account will expire on 6 nov 2014 Cry

Around since Beta yet your character history doesn't begin until a year after game launch?

I am sure you haven't done all you can think of in EVE. You must have been scratched the surface of most of it. The game is too complex to become a master of everything.

Close to this here. Makes things a bit easier but SP at a special level don't really matter.

I liked to think i would keep atleast one account going forever. For supporting the people that made all the fun i once had possible.
Keep all accounts. You never know...

My problem with eve. There are no reasonable goals i can still achieve.
There's so much you still can find in EVE. It's all about the people you fly with.

Any other 10+ year old people that have the same problems? What do you do?

I am playing since 2006. I started with PvE to get into the game. Finally I ended up in PvP. I was most of the time flying solo. For more success I started another account. Finally I decided to triple box what is the maximum for me. Then I joined Dark-Rising with a bunch of great people keeping EVE exciting by moving to different places. You need to be in a corp or alliance where people help each other or where people with more time and better ideas keep things exciting.

Looks like you have an EVE burnout or more like a boreout. Blink Maybe time for a break to come back and enjoy the game again.

Actually I am doing some passive stuff like farming Anoms with three lvl5 skilled Ishtars what gives me a nice income to cover losses in PvP easily. PvP here is actually just limited to camp with mobile bubbles. Nothing special, I know. I am testing out a new triple box setup with two Guardians what is like juggling with three balls. Not easy. So it's an exciting challenge. 80% of the ships in EVE I haven't used yet. I personally see tons of things to do in EVE. Most of them I never will do for sure because I don't have the time to do everything.

not 10 years but 6 but
...

I feel you bro.

to what keeps me thriving is PVP.

WH PVP. Null Sec PVP. Empire griefing. FW

everything is always a new and exciting experience.

Especially WH living lately got my interest because it offers a risky enviroment where you can basically find yourself in combat any second and it allows to drop in at random locations. wreck havoc and get out again :)

maybe you want to give WH living a shot :)

Always sad to see threads like this, especially from players with 10+ years here in game.

I suggest you keep your main account active, continue training skills and see about being a mentor / big brother to some new players. I'm sure your stories and experience would be a great benefit to them.

In fact being a mentor / big brother will more than likely re-spark your interest in the game again, especially since newbie excitement is very catching.

well I think they should give you a present a special ship, many happy returns, it be a shame a player with the wealth of experience you have to be lost .

perhaps you could take us tomatoes who get squished very often, make a corp and make us tomatoes into the best . think of the challenge at the least we last a few minutes longer , what say all of you

I have mates coming back who are re-subbing due to the new content in the new patch.

Half of them are just re-subbing to watch loads of people cry and whine.

Dont go just yet you may actually find the new patch is the best game changer in EvE's history.

I had my 10th birthday this year in March (different toon to this one) and know what you're feeling.

I've had I think the very typical route that starters at that time had. Miner -> PvE -> 0.0 over time. I've led an Alliance, been Founder and Co-Leader in a different alliance that invaded and conquered space, then expanded and lost it some years later.

Since that time I've considered myself retired. And just use EVE as a passive indy isk earner to acquire wealth ('cos it's just addictive, and I love playing the markets). I've also seen it as personal mission to seed some 0.0 markets. All fun.

but now, especially with these silly new Production changes, I too am thinking. Well, if production is no fun anymore and just endless hassle and lag in station, ... what now. Missioning is dull now. It's either p1ss easy or fatal. nothing imbetween for me (and fatal is usually me just ballsing up on my ship setup [again] and getting scrambled and wait for the end lol).

Been playing since november 2003

I must confess i don't log in too much anymore, I have set myself alot of mini goals, some harder than others over the years.
one of the worst parts is so many people i played with have since left, some along time ago!

Some of my achievements/ attained mini goals are:

Lead an alliance of over 400 people in 0.0
Made 100billion in liquid isk
been in an eve tournament (like the 3rd i think it was?) went out pretty quickly lol
owned at least 1 torny ship
attended at least 1 eve meet (Veto in london, was pretty epic)
0.0 wars
capital fights
involved in a supercarrier kill
owned a supercap
in the original privateers pre nerf

Goal working towards now:
200mil sp (only about 10 more to go)
make 200bil liquid isk
be a good trader as this is pretty much the only thing i have not done

it is getting harder, mainly because meeting new cool people is hard when you have made so many that then have left! :-(
