Visible implants

I think it would add an interesting dynamic if certain implant catagories had models that affected your player character (the actual dude in captain's quarters)
The grade of Implants would affect the size and obviousness of the model; with higher level implants either being large; but subtle and blended, or with some implants, just plain large.

Different implants would be visible in different locations, with a perception booster appearing on or near the eye, while piloting boosters may appear on the arm or spine.

This would offer an interesting character customization impact, with some players with long hair and glasses to hide their implants, while others go bald to show them off better.

I would like some cosmetic implants, but I would like them separate from the ones you use to improve your in-game performance.

Well that and I gather ccp doesn't want to store several avatars. For the people with the pve clone(s) (differing types even, I have gun and missile clones) myself and various pvp clones.

Since the slippery slope here is hg snakes should look different from hg crystals and say talon should vary from jackal. Which is a very real scenario for x trained players.

Monocle a monocle and an arm an arm....they can slap that in its one avatar.

Yessss. Visible implants for female characters. Finally, my alt Megaboobs Mctits will be able to bear her trademark.

Implants have an m3 volume of about 1 meter on a side of a cube, which is bigger than the human head. Now imagine if those implants where just plug and play components like a keyboard/mouse is to your computer, but those implants plug into the pod and that you can exit into the captain's quarters without 10 cubic yards attached to your head....makes this idea moot since t implants are destroyed with the pod anyway. As for when the description says plug into your head, think of your music player device be it IPod or phone, now plug headphones into your ears. Entire suggestion is moot, they are pod components and not dress up items with visual effects.

You look at portraits outside of the forums?

I can't remember the last time I had more than names only set to visible in in-game chat windows.
