I think you can reach 100 clients on 16gb, get SSD too it further helps multiboxing in eve.

Some big alliances have whole fleets run like this.

edit: for comparison, how other guys do it

Just want to Share Multiboxing gone mad.

Would need information on which motherboard, gfx-card, power-supply and harddisk you have to be able to at least come up with a qualified guess.

Also, what kind of memory you use (DDR3, DDR4, PC3-12800, PC4-24000).

A PC is only as good as its weakest link.

Seriously just get the biggest baddest most expensive looking components around. But if you ask me don't skimp on the GPU AND PSU (good power source is important for those high load situations). RAM is cheap so just jab the largest sticks you can find.

Post with your NPC alt main and not your main main alt!

Expect around 700MB of RAM to be used per client.

An i7-4770 can run around 25-30 clients before CPU becomes the bottleneck.

Expect around 100MB of graphics card RAM (VRAM) to be used per client. Try to get at least a 3GB card.

Most MB will take 32Gb ram these days - 64Gb is harder, we have a couple of Haswell servers at work running 64Gb but my impression is the few 64Gb motherboards about can be a bit of a PITA in terms of ram compatibility.

Though in reality you are probably fine with just 8GB.

You can very likely upgrade to 32GB (4x8GB) unless you have a crap motherboard and if you upgrade to at least 16GB (4x4GB) you won't regret it.

The 750ti GPU is going to be the bottleneck.

Your PSU is probably going to be marginal if you get a real GPU. You'll want another 200W headroom if you upgrade your GPU.

A 430watts psu is fine because a 750 ti uses very little power. If you were to upgrade your graphics card, I'd suggest you upgrade your psu as well.

The amount of memory each client uses also depends on your settings. I was able to run 10 clients on 8gig memory reasonably well. I haven't tried running more as that would end up with clients "stepping on each others' toes" so to speak (as in page faults).

Also, the ssd only helps in loading, as in warping around, jumping to another system, or undocking. If you don't mind the additional seconds it takes for an hdd to do it you don't need a ssd.

Definitely recommend a SSD (solid state drive) for running more than one client at a time. It makes a huge difference in the responsiveness of each client. Obviously extra memory never hurts but only if your OS is a 64 bit OS. 32 bit versions of an OS simply can't take advantage of memory past 4.7GB (2^32).

I'm currently doing 3 with no issued and most grpahics on high with an AMD something processor (I forget the model and i'm not home to check)

16gb ddr 3

ATI R9290/270 forget which one, not at home to check.

I have playd up to 6 with no issues on the same settings.

if you turn settings to low you can run a crap load of clients with no problems.
