Fanfest 15 in Chicago, IL meetup for the poor

Well lets all of us who are able too meet up and celebrate our mates having a great time in Iceland by drinking, talking about eve and maybe even watching a presentation from Iceland via EvE tv.


Planning stage is not even in infancy yet, just an idea.

What: EvE meet-up
Where: The midwest somewhere, probably Chicago area. Chi-town has the potential to capture the largest number of players interested.
When: Friday March 17 and Saturday 18
Why: To drink and not feel left out.

Posting this now to see how much interest there would be in the community, if someone set this up. If we want a place with a conference room in order to try and watch some of the broadcasted events then there may be a small fee needed.

Thanks, I will and I will. Once it looks like there is enough interest in something like this, I will begin in earnest to get things in place.

Lets hope we get some interest.

A Chicago meet up would be fun. I remember a couple years ago meeting in Lake Forest. Would be good if we could get some place that would agree to live stream eve.

Give me a shout - I hosted a fairly successful 50+ player meetup in Atlanta a while back and live in Milwaukee now, so I'd be happy to pitch in. I also know there are a lot of (ex-)TEST bros in the area, and I think GSF hosted something near there, too, so there should be a good amount of players.

Also, I've notified Guard - he's always helpful when publicizing, etc.

Sorry I haven't updated this post in a bit.

Based on what I have heard so far from several different venues, it looks like I will be moving forward with organizing a meet up for the weekend of Fan-fest 2015.

I will keep you all posted as plans begin to solidify.

Please begin spreading the word and try talking your mates into making an effort to join us.

We'll definitely give a shout-out to you guys on the Fanfest Live Stream. You have to send us pictures or even have a live feed of your own for us to switch over to at some point and maybe exchange toasts over the internet or something :)

Unfortunately RL events forced me to fail to get the logistics of a chi-town meet up sorted out for March. FORTUNATELY a member of Isogen 5 is getting a meet up set up in Milwaukee, WI for Mar 14th. Information can be found in this section of the forums.
