Say your mining with a corp mate in high sec(.5+), and someone thinks their cool taking can, jettisoning etc to try and get aggro, can your friend in corp/fleet attack them?

I know for sure that corpmates of the owner of the can may attack without Concord involving themselves but don't think that the flag on the Ore Thief extends to all gang mates if they are not in your corporation.

Someone who is taking your ore is probably baiting you, I know if it was me I more often than not am looking for the fight and not your ore and so I personally am prepared for your aggression (and even expecting friends of yours). I also am often looking to off-balance you with emotions so that you do not make rational decisions. Are you sure you and your corp mates can take the offending ore thief?

Most importantly as this is "Ships and Modules" how are you preparing your fits to combat them? There are many people on these forums who are veterans to pvp and are willing to help you out with fitting advice. I cannot tell you how often I get fired on by fail fits and they die in an expanding ball of lameness.

If someone steals from a can/wreck then the owner of that can (and his corp mates if player corp and not NPC) can attack him for 15 minutes. Fleet does NOT copy over aggression in any sort of way so they can't help (unless they're in your corp).

Also note that any aggression from either side will create an extra personal timer, reset back to 15 minutes. So if he stole your stuff 12 minutes ago and one of you attacks him then they both get a new timer towards each other. Result is that in 3 minutes your corp can't touch the guy any more but those two can still aggress each other and your corp mate is effectively singled out.

Someone canflips you, only you and your corp can attack them. Anyone else in fleet that's not from your corp can provide neutral RR instead to get aggression.

By the way? Which system do you mine in? Twisted
