Machariel vs. Sentinel & gate guns ???

I killed this Machariel with the help of some gate gun in low sec. Earlier in the day hi company had killed 2 of my frigates, an Ares and a Taranis, both of which I loved dearly. Luckily Attention I found this bloke in low sec and taunted him on gate, he shot at me and I pointed him. then it was a race to keep him pointed, while killing his drones and avoiding his dps while neuting. It was a very close fight but ultimately, DING DING DING, ShockedBig smileTwisted I successfully killed this man by not letting him get away and not allowing him to kill me. YAY!!!! SO much FUN! Big smileBig smileBig smile

Now I wonder how that little fight would have ended if the Mach had some drop to counter what is presumably the standard single TD/Extender/Inject/point Sentinel fit ..

What does a fail-pirate Mach have to say about the people who kill him .. only good thing this says about Brick is that they seem to not follow the "blob/hotdrop everything, all the time" paradigm which is indeed refreshing.

PS: EAS are awesome, they just don't live very long once you have more than a couple of enemies on field .. too fat and too slow to keep transversal on more than one or two boats.

This is most impressive. I tried pulling this off once in null but things didn't worked out as well for me:

I dont think its the link itself, it may be eve online forums/ccp that is preventing it. Any km link I click on is doing the same, sadly, to see it youd have to go on the kills tab on the associated kb and find it, either by my name or ship type. Weird. Everywhere else I've posted it can be seen.

Yea the fit I used is as follows.

Highs:
2 x small unstable power fluctuators
small diminishing power drain

Mids:
Tracking Disruptor II w/ tracking speed script
1MN MWD II (meta 4 works better for fitting)
Small Electrochemical Cap Booster (100's)
Warp Disruptor II

Lows:
DC II
EANM II
Capacitor Power Relay II

Drones:
4 x Hornet EC300's
4 x Warrior or Hobgobln II's


The CPR II helps in between cap booster cycles if youre being neuted to give that little extra to keep your point up and mwd around the target at range. 15-18km for me depending on neuts.

Yeah it's the forums. Any '&' in link becomes '&' so you need to edit the link accordingly after rightclicking and copying it.

If you middle click on the link or otherwise open the link in another tab instead of using the broken dialogue that shows up when you left click on it, you get the old-style screen with a link that works. It's just their stupid javascript dialogue box that breaks things.

CBA looking at a kb for a measly Mach kill, but it's quite hilarious he let himself die to a EAF with a Warp Disruptor. Obviously you got the kill as the pilot you faced was an idiot.

Even if he wasn't fast enough to burn away form you...he could easily have burned out of range of the gate guns...150km isn't all that far when you're in a mach...
