So, I love destroyers and the SoE ships. I love my stratios but I would love to see a destroyer class exploration hull.

Destroyer class exploitation hull is more acurrate, especially if it keeps the sort of offensive performance seen of most destroyers but gets the fairly deep EHP pool associated with faction hulls.

There is no need for pirate faction destroyers because they are powerful enough.

And we get Amarr tech 3 destroyers for christmas, so be a good boy and you can get one too.

I agree that there is no need for a faction destroyer. However that doesn't mean I wouldn't like a faction destroyer. This is why I recommended an SoE faction destroyer, one geared towards low/null exploration. Looking at it honestly the two ships from SoE already fill the role nicely. I have just always loved the destroyer class ships and since all I do anymore and I really enjoy my SoE ships I would love to see this faction get a dessy designed for exploration.

There is nothing wrong with liking destroyers. I don't but I don't have to Smile

I am however concerned that a faction destroyer could step on some other shipclasses feet.

So if you propose a new ship some questions need an answer.

- what role would they have?

- how much hp is not too much to outclass something else?

- can another class already do it?

- do they get one more slot than others?

- cloak yes or no (for the SOE one)

It might not cover everything but it will poke you in the right direction.

Also keep in mind that I would answer similar to a battlecruiser proposal even thou I like them a lot but they don't quite fit the current meta very good.

The SOE Destroyer Is A Mix Between A Frigate & Cruiser, Just Like A Destroyer Is Designed, This Ship Is A Mix Between The Stratios Status And The Amarr & Gallente Destroyers Stats, So IT WAS BORN, With More CPU & A Decent Drone Bay. The SOE Are Well Known For Their Drone Bay Size & Bandwidth. Also It Only Has 6 Slots For Lazors With 50% Optimal Range, Since All Destroyer Get A Gun Buff And CPU Needed For A Scanner & Cloak.

there should be 'x' because i really like the idea of "x". is not a reason to implement something


because i sure think it would be cool if i could get an AOE DD that i can set off on Jita's undock

This Has Nothing To Do With The Post And Is Unnecessary to even to be posted, we talking about a SOE Destroyer and your bring up the top of AOE DD To use in Jita? Read The Rules Before You Post Mr Crow Slave. It not hard, just simply walk away, no need for off topic comments Shocked

Both the Astero and the Stratios do just fine with both. Need more dps, fit guns.
