Combat Recons - how do u fit urs

I shud be in these babies soon (as i just recently posted in another thread - but decided to create a new thred instead of derailing the other)

So looking particularly at amarr, gallente and mini recons

how do u fit urs pls?

btw what the hell is the caldari recon? (no i cba to type it into google right now)

i will fit one when they rebalance them, combat recon are kinda meh, for gall minma and caldari you better off flying the cloaky version, since they have the same ewar bonuses, the exception is the curse/pilgrim since the pilgrim miss the good bonus (neut range) for the cloak.

Got to say your wrong there....

Combats are generally tanky'er, have more dps, and or better fitting than their force recon counterparts.
This is traded for the cov-ops cloak and a bonus to cynos and the ability to fit a covert cyno.

Huginn with arty and rlml is ok. Thats the fit i used. Though cap sucks on huginn.. good for murdering frigs though.

Trick with the rook (and the falcon) is that to do their job effectivly (jam stuff), you fill mid slots with ECM mods and maybe a MWD. This leaves very little room for any tank. At most peeps may put a plate and or a DCU on, but thats about it.

Because of this, in most circumstanceses the falcon is used... because at the least you can cloak.

My rook fit is... well a bit of a laugh. Due to thier ECM, and normally small tanks, rooks are usually called primary... so i brick tanked it.

Not really new info on the BOs, but it is on the radar to be rebalanced too... And as for Recon Changes, it sounded like they'd become more combat effective, but I don't know the exact changes.

Recon ship rebalancing was flagged at FanFest, "Some of them are pretty good and some of them are the Pilgrim."
With BlOps being bound up with the LDT changes it's probably wise to see how their usage changes due to that before attempting a direct balance pass to avoid rebalancing them for a use case which is no longer valid.

Meta the cap booster for less implantness and put a T2 em rig on... theyre pretty cheep...

Its not that bad lol, i would prob drop the point (thats someone elses job), allows you to keep further from the fight and hopefully not take as much dmg... also allows another disruptor or more tank.

I look at dmg on recons as secondary, either for getting rid of frigs/drones or just a bit of help on a gank. Dont worry too much about it, youll never get any medals. But if your dead... well your not helping anyone

Its thin as **** but it will basically cap alpha most cruisers, HACs and below and will 2 cycle BCs cap, all at a pleasant 88k.

You can also pick the two turret ships you least like the look of and remove them.

i like the idea but too easy to kill i think, maybe if it were hidden among several curse, but im reluctant to use this fit for small gang work. ty for ur input
