Hello,

I am Caldari and I want to join my friends who are Gallente.

Is there any downside to doing it? Anything that I should know?

I already moved all my stuff to their system but just now I realised my standings was bad (Caldari<>Gallente).

Thanks!

OK.. are you going to move the topic? Because I don't want to double-post in two different sub-forum.

Doc isn't a ISD, but he is very fast responding to threads! I suspect he's a bot!

Well, if you are moving to a Gallente system and they aren't shooting at you, that means you can still salvage your standings. That will probably involve an epic arc or two, and do a lot of missons with Gallente corporations. I suggest missioning for the Federal Navy or the Sister of EVE to get on good terms with the Gallente.

There's no downside to it. You can even keep using Caldari ships and live and work for the Gallente. It's all good! Just stick to one faction though from now on,

Three things.

First and foremost, you're scum. Do have any idea, ANY, of the atrocities the Gallente have put our people through? You make me sick and I hope that the Herpes that I sent to your cloning centers finds it's way to your clone vats. Maybe you should watch this...

Yes, I've read the books. Don't believe the Gallente propaganda about some "Broker" pulling the strings. He is nothing other than a boogyman the Gallente created to hide their true malice.

Second, I think that he was directing you to the New Player forums - he can't move it.

Third, depending on your standing, you could try doing the career missions, COSMO missions or data centers to raise it.

That's what I figured for Doc based on his signature... but I didn't want to assume anything :)

My standing with Gallente is currently at -0.28. Do they start shooting at 1.00?

Will my Gallente standing go up if I only do security missions from Federal Administration?

edit: looks like I will be doing some career missions!

You're fine. They'll only start shooting you if you're at -5.00 or lower.

Actually the Tribunal have a large presence in everyshore and you can still be a loyal Caldari and even engage in combat with the gallente (I once had a security mission chain which had me destroy a gallente jump gate) whilst technically being in gallente space

Haven't you heard? You're a capsuleer, an immortal post-human cybernetic demi-god, and the empires are nothing to you and your kind. :)

But seriously, like they say above, your standing to a faction has to drop pretty drastically before they get mad enough to start shooting you on sight.

(I'm somewhere near -4 to the Gallente at the moment, and I can move freely through their space.)

Your general security status, on the other hand, can cause problems rather more quickly.

i found the largest issue with moving to gallente space is that you will become loathe to use caldari stations after you get used to the awesome gallente ones.

also the nebulae are much prettier.

The Caldari State is a dying one. You are wise for migrating.
