Tbh stations in Eve online small. If you sometimes see how capital fleet undocking, you wonder how they all can fit in the station :)

+1 for the general concept of better scaling on stations relative to the population of eve online. They were fine when the average was cruisers and smaller, and player owned capital ships wasn't a thing, but now most of the NPC stations and some of the outposts need new models fairly badly. Especially bad are the differences in docking range vs. model appearance vs. cynoable distance.

I always thought they used the same warp tech to make them bigger on the inside like cargo holds/containers

But then every cargo container inside would cause a total existence failure as you then have n dimensional tensions exceeding the strength of the system folding space, causing an uncontrolled reality rip. It would be as messy as a goonswarm bathroom after taco-Tuesday and a DBRD fleet on the same night.

That reminds me that once upon a time we used to be able to put containers into containers and miners and haulers used this nice trick to get more cargo into a small ship.

Possibilities were endless but someone didn't like it..

Eve Minions is recruiting.

This is the law of ship progression!

Ever seen the magic tents from the Harry Potter films? Big smile

If this could be done without taking dev time away from larger and more pressing problems in the game I would say OK.

Eve stations are small, pos control towers are small as a matter of scale to make playing eve enjoyable, and not overly cluttered. Just like how frigates are far larger than they should be, and capitals far smaller.

If everything in Eve was adjusted on a proper scale to one another based on its true size, we could have a very frustrating game with a LOT of colliding, banging around, and getting hooked up on each other. It simply wouldn't work well at all, something I'm glad the devs realize, and likely will not change.

There's no 'magic compression', there's just making it smaller so the game is playable/enjoyable without additional headaches.
