Scanning Query - Cant make signature change to can

Hello,

I have a scanning issue

I do the scan thing, get it up to 100% and warp to it, but I dont get to anything thats clickable, openable etc - all I see is the normal red diamond on its corner - albeit alot closer

Hence cant do the hacking thing

What may be causing this? I got an odd message about capacitor - but not sure if thats the cause

Warping requires cap. Was it a long warp and you maybe ran out of capacitor?

Dont think so - tends to be when I load launcher

I click the analyzer, and cross comes up on screen, the analyzer icon flashes , but selecting the red diamond is not possible

I'm missing a step somewhere

Those are overseer cans - not hacking containers. Hacking containers are always white on your overview.

If you don't have enough capacitor to warp all the way to the destination you will drop out of warp early in the middle of nowhere.

The red diamond is the survey scanner showing you the probable site in the distance. If you didn't make it all the way there you'll need to wait for your capacitor to recharge some and then initiate warp again.

If you still can't see any hackable containers then they may not be present in your overview settings. Open up overview settings, find the types list, and play with adding things in the "celestials" folder (can't remember exactly which one is hackables).

I think she means the scan overlay diamond that shows anoms as green and sigs are red.

What I think the problem is that the cap is running out here. You happen to be in a huge system and while your cap might be full at the time you start and end warp the initial warp activation drains all of it in one hit and warps you 90% of the way there and drops you as far as the cap could take you.

Do a second warp and that should do it. There's a skill under navigation that reduces cap use from warping you might wanna look into.

Figured it out - the capacitor thing had nothing to do with it..

THe overview wasn't showing all objects. When I warped to signature after 100% I didn't realise there was things around me that I had to move to and use the analyser

I was trying to move towards the signature thingie

Btw Hi-sec rewards suck (especially after doing another profession) - time to train up for low/null
