The tracker was down temporarily for a hardware upgrade. It is back now, but you may experience outages as I iron-out the last few remaining wrinkles.

I've had the new hardware on-hand for nearly a year. Talk about procrastination!

Oceanus 1.7 was released Oct 30th, but as Phoebe is being released Nov 4th, I'm not going to bother with a torrent for the Oceanus release.

Yes. These torrents include the ENTIRE client (the "offline installer"). They are about 5.3 GB each.

Each torrent completely replaces the previous client in lieu of patching. Only the latest torrent is required.

You can choose to download the offline installer direct from CCP if you prefer, but be warned that if the download is interrupted, you may have to start all over again. Hence I created the torrent to avoid that problem.

I think CCP removed distributing individual patch files when the current launcher was introduced. Some people may have found a way around this mechanism, by using a cached patch file, but I don't recommend doing that as it could be considered "client modification", a bannable offense

[You don't want the hassle of even a false positive detection. Trust me. Been there. Done that.]

No. Your personal settings are stored in a different place than the game client. [Many things have been moved server-side too.]

I recommend uninstalling EVE, then installing fresh with the offline-installer (= torrent files). DO NOT SELECT "Remove Settings And Cache For All Users" checkbox in the second uninstaller pop-up window.

You will only lose settings if CCP makes some incompatible settings change, and they delete everybody's settings (has happened a few times, but is very rare).

Glad to help!

For what it is worth, that's coming from the slow secondary seed.

The primary seed is much more capable, but for some strange Internet connection reason you are only getting about 10 kB/s from it. Weird.

Thank you for doing this. Needed to re-install the client totally, and was unable to for the last week thanks to internet issues. Am getting about 50 kB/s, and it says it will take a day, but am not complaining. At least it will get done :)
