I'm continuing to have issues when alt-tabbing out of the EVE client (running in full-screen mode). Sometimes it works fine, but other times it hangs and either needs to be force-quitted or sometimes only a force restart (holding down the power button to power off the computer) will work.

I've also had the unhandled page fault error mentioned above once or twice too.

have you tried windowed mode. thats all i run in.

I saw "Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x00000024 at address 0x7001c524." 3 times in the last 15 minutes running EVE on 10.10. For me the game is not playable at the moment.

I just came back to EVE :/

Will try that for a while and see whether the situation improves.

I've had some marginal improvement in stability by doing the following to my Eve related applications:

  1. Exit out of Eve Online and the Launcher completely
  2. In the Applications folder where Eve Online resides, right-mouse click on the Eve Online icon and select "Get Info". On the resulting dialog box, find the check-box named "Prevent App Nap", check that box so that it's selected, and then close the dialog box.
  3. Go back to the Applications folder and right-mouse click on the Eve Online icon and select "Show Package Contents"
  4. Open the following folders in sequence: appdata -> Eve Online-XXXXX.macosx (where XXXXX is a version number like 2.1.826897) -> Eve Online
  5. Right-mouse click on the "Eve Online" icon in that folder and again "Get Info" and set the "Prevent App Nap" check-box like you did above
  6. For the third time, set the "Prevent App Nap" setting for:

Contents -> Resources -> Eve Online

This has marginally improved the reliability of my Eve Online client on OS X 10.10

To undo these changes, just go back and uncheck all three of the items that were checked in the procedure above.

Some other things that I've done include:

- Setting all graphics to a very low setting

- Clearing all cached data

As others have mention, running in windowed mode is superior to full screen

I ran the mac repair tool from http://content.eveonline.com/client_repair/351/EveRepairTool.tgz
and it seems to have solved the issue for me at least

Don't you get stuck with both the menu bar and the title bar of the window? And what about the dock popping up?
If there's a workaround / fix for those 2 points I'd be interested.

(I'm deliberating the 10.10 update on my main / eve computer. My test system is a little too slow to test eve proper these days)

Nature of the beast. AS i was running multiple accounts for months. this was so much better than command tab.

I have logged in and out several times, undocked, killed a rat, docked up. Seems to work to me.

While it appears the Yosemite is not supported. i am running eve on 2 separate set ups with no issues to my knowledge. 1 mac pro with a gtx760 card and the other a 27inch iMac (mid 2010). I will check our macbook pro and other iMacs as well this week to see how it runs but I didn't realize 10.10 wasn't supported because I have had no issues to my knowledge.
-Oh take that back I get a 1minute timer on one of the computers but not the other whenever I shoot something in a mission. its the timer you get that says you shot another person.. not the normal aggression timer in yellow... the red one.

Bug found after upgrade to Yosemite - changing the output audio device in System Preferences / Sounds in OS X crashes all open EVE clients in a fantastic way. Who do I contact to raise officially please?

Standard bug report. or hope that CCP is watching this forum.

10.10 isn't supported yet. but i'm sure every bug we find now is one less but when they do!

Two Eve Clients running butter smooth on a MacPro 6,1 6-core with dual D700's on Yosemite 10.10.
No freezes during gameplay.

Freeze of client B when quitting client A. Already reported elsewhere: thread

I just put an application "in-between", preventing the death of client B.

I can't even launch the EVE client, the launcher works, but when I log in, it just does nothing. Can't manually launch client from within the .app package either.

Went from running EVE with max settings to not being able to even launch it. Only thing i haven't tried is deleting the current install and reinstalling fresh.

Is it possible to get an update from CCP on the progress for supporting OS X 10.10.*???

It worked just fine for me after upgrading from Mavericks (10.9), but it also works just fine on a fresh Yosemite (10.10) install.

No troubles whatsoever.

Can we please have some more information about this? Almost 6 months have passed since the first Yosemite Beta and the only thing we've heard from you so far is this one sentence. Please CCP, show some love for your Mac costumers and at least let us know if it's being worked on or tell us a rough timeframe!

For 27" screens there's even a specific resolution that takes the menu bar and window top into account.
It would be great to have the clients remember on which monitor they are supposed to run.... :)
