High-sec war-deccer, spy, griefer

Everyone needs to look out for a player named Bassics of Royal Enterprise. He is a known war-deccer, ganking miners and industrial ships alike, as well as attempts to spread rumors and strife among the corps he declared war on. Not only does he refuse to fight, he expects corps to roll over and die as he spews vitriol remarks on local, and messages individual corpmates, attacking our new players, our CEO, and bribing them to pass up information.

In our situation, he used an alt named Najaaraq to infiltrate our corp. Initially we saw nothing alarming, but Bassics showed up nearby and Najaaraq began oddly specific Intel reports concerning him. After a quick day of fighting, Najaaraq resorted to pointing fingers at our new players, saying they are alts of Bassics.

Bassics continued to point fingers, sending convo invites to everyone and attacking everyone, bribing some to hand over information, one concerning the fit of my ship.

To this point, we remain vigilant. Bassics continues to bribe my corpmates, but it's slowed down now.

He's done this before, I'm sure of it. Keep an eye out for this griefer.

So, what you're telling me is that the corp you are posting from has loose recruitment standards and poor opsec?

Thanks.

Then what's the problem?
Tell your guys that if he offers them bribes, to accept and ask you what to actually send him, constantly feed him fake intel and make him actually pay money for it.

Allow me to put the situation in detail.

This player is a highsec griefer. He wardecs corps that recruit new players beginning in EVE.

He is a one-man corp, but is full of alts outside of it. He stays online all day but docked, so we can't know when he will attack.

If we show interest in fighting, he just stays docked and talks **** about "unfair fight" (as if it wasn't what he does). We cannot fight anyone else, because he is alone, we only have one possible target that stays docked most of the day.

If we are done giving him attention and go back to our own business, he undocks when noone is looking and go gank some corp member that is isolated from the older members of the corp, usually mining alone and mostly only the players that are really new to the game and have neither SP or experience to deal with the situation. In short, he is a coward.

His years of accumulated SP allowed him to fly a ship fit for extreme survivability, we calculated he has over 1200 HP/s of armor repair while overloading, and I'm not even considering the adaptive armor. Even with our combined DPS we could not destroy him. If he senses he is going to die, he just stops attacking, tries to survive enough to dock again. Yeah, he nevers go far from the dock when we are together.

He stays online with at least two known characters, one is Bassics, always docked with a Locator Agent looking for possible targets, and Rompetrol / Najaaraq that he uses as scout to go see ahead if its not a trap. He doesn't take any chances, he only attacks when he knows he will win.

Basically we are dealing with a bully and a griefer that picks on new players and lives off ruining everybody's joy of the game.

The most impressive part is the amount of time, money and effort he dedicates to this. Its beyond a normal person's comprehension. He is clearly some sick stalker or a psychopath.

You boys need to start thinking more outside the box and getting a little creative. There are a plethora of tools, techniques and tactics available to you to take this guy down, even for players with little experience or skill. Why not make it a project, enjoy it and stop complaining about it?

He is not stupid, he just don't go for it. If he sees a bait outside station, he docks, asks a bunch of names to his agent and (and this is a big game mechanic problem) he doesn't even have to activate it, for the price the agent asks to locate us he already knows the rest of us are in the same constalation and he just stays docked.

He is always moving around with alts we don't know about spying and making sure its always safe to achieve his purposes.

We already seeked allies and stuff, but as I said, there is no target. They are willing to help but theres noone to attack, the coward stays docked at all times when he senses danger.

So what you are saying is your corp is incompetent and needs to disband so its members can go find competent corps to fly with.

Its a corp oriented to new players.

That is irrelevant, if a corp can not protect itself, it should not be in existence.

This is EVE, if the fight is fair, you're doing it wrong.

Boo hoo? So this meanie head won't engage in a fight you openly show won't be fair, however you openly put yourselves into a situation that makes unfair to you? Sounds like a personal problem mate.

I could have 500mil SP, but that doesn't mean I am Death Destroyer of Worlds, If me and my 500mil sp jumps into a Talso and expects to beat a Megathron, no amount of SP is going to keep me alive, also If I'm in a Megathron and 20 Talos' all log on at once when I think I'm fighting a lone Navy Aug, I'm going to die as well.

If you have all this information how about you use it against him? Check local, place a alt on HIS location and dock up when he move out? Gank it goddamned alt. Do something other than running to the forums and cry.

ON NOES, this online gamer is a bully and coward! He's clearly a psychopath! Why would anyone do this?!?!?!

Don't come into EVE and expect sunshine and lollipops, Expect to be kicked in the groin by an insta-locking legion because you were to stupid to set up an insta-undock.

Clearly YOU'RE the one with psychological problems if your being this emotionally damaged by a video game.

That would be fair enough if happened at chance or in lowsec where PVP is intented to be. We are being haunted by this specific highsec griefer that targets us 24 hours a day, this is not fun at all.

This guy is low even for highsec griefer standards, that usually don't pick on newbies and mostly only attack valuable targets.

As I said (but aparently people in this forum in incapable fo reading) he doesn't take any chances and doesn't undock if he smells something, anything at all. He waits for the right moment and goes straight to the weakest player he can find.

Excuse me for a moment as I need to step outside for some fresh air, as I was laughing to hard at this 'statement'

Regardless, PVP can happen anywhere, it's not INTENDED to be in Low/Null sec. So you can shove that nonsense right out from the disillusioned part of your mind that it crawled out from.

If PVP was INTENDED to be a Null/Low sec only area, ganking wouldn't be allowed, Wardecs wouldn't be allowed, dueling wouldn't be allowed. So please keep your fantasies to yourself.

People like yourself deserve to be wardec, because you think you are somehow privileged, because you have new-bro in your corp, or that you are somehow special because you think: I don't want to PVP right now, Therefore I should be exempt from it."

You know those saying about how EVE gets better when certain people leave? Take a look in mirror because if you don't change your attitude about the game, you're just going to end up hating it.
