Amarr: New Eden's most classy system

I see Amarr as the cradle of civilization, the cultural, spiritual, economic and military center of the New Eden. But that probably wouldn't surprise anyone. It a capsuleer trade hub, but the people frequented it are more refined that what you would encounter in Jita or Rens.

Fortunately, many capsuleers with me recognize Amarr as a centre of civilization. These are some random comments I observed in local chatter today:

Chribba > amarr local best local
SocomTedd > +1

Infiltrator2112 > o/ Fly safe and Amarr Victor!

Sinitron > amarr owns
Sinitron > amarr is the best trade hub everywhere else is garbage
Sinitron > minmatar space sucks balls, nobody cares about the gallente and caldari is crowded with stupid scams

Alex Kariik > i have went far and wide, and nowhere has better selection, less lag, or better prices then here in amarr
Alex Kariik > bye amarr local, be back another day

And no, these are not Amarr loyalist, simple random capsuleer citizens. What system does capsuleers have actually say goodbye to it on local comms?

You see this sort of thing in Dodixie all the time, actually. Nice try at getting people to fill your market orders, though, Merde.

I might actually move back out to Genesis/Sanctum near Merolles and Oursulaert, been considering it for a bit now. I'll agree though, Amarr local chat is far more polite than say... Jita.

Though, so is just about every other local chat, so that isn't saying much. And as far as Amarr being the center of the cluster...

No.

This Merdaneth character really has a sense of humor. There is nothing like a little self-deprecating irony. I have noted the intentional and funny grammar and usage errors in the above post with underlining. We definitely need more of this kind of humor around here. This is good; "cultural cradle of civilization" P, and don't forget great grammar school education too. Thanks Merdaneth.

"Cradle of civilization"? Hardly. However, you did get the "cradle" part correct. It's painfully apparent, judging by the level of conversation in Amarr local comms, that the children inhabiting the system need to learn grammar and spelling.

Perhaps if they spent less time trolling the adults via fluid router and more time in classrooms? Blink

They do it in Hek and that miserable shithole Jita all the time.

I'd illustrate, but the IGS' profanity filter would probably urp-splodeBlink

I go to trade hubs to get what I need at the right price, and Rens and Hek suffice. I dont go to socialize with the traders and smugglers, nor do i complain when they are anything less than scoundrels considering it is a trade hub and you get all sorts. If you want to claim that Amarr is "more civilized", Id say you arent attacting enough business. Simple as that.

If you want to socialize go to a bar. If you want to trade, and get the price, goto Rens or Jita.

Amarr is just as full of scamsters and idiots as any other market hub. Merdaneth is selectively culling relevant quotes from the edges of the bell-curve to present an inaccurate picture of everyday discourse in the system.

All trade hubs have a lot of idiots, because all trade hubs have a lot of people.

If you look closely at the Amarrian Monument in Amarr (not the academic one), the phalic images and "Kazzzi Waz Here" that I spraypainted on it 3 years ago are still visible.

Shame that even the "more refined" denizens of Amarr are unaware that classiest is the proper superlative of classy. Or perhaps you meant to say "New Eden's most classed system?" Considering the monstrous kinds of social stratification you're party to this would seem equally appropriate, eh Merde?

I love how slaver Merdaneth's name gets shortened to "Merde", which means something quite funny (and utterly appropriate) in the old Gallentean language. Well done.

The assertions that Amarr is the classiest system are also patently false, because everyone knows the classiest system in New Eden is whichever one Entity is currently hanging out in.

Nothing to contribute to this conversation, it's all clearly self promotion of your home systems and Empire allegiances.

Besides, nowhere is classier than Yulai.

For pure class per square meter it's impossible to top Luminaire, especially the city of Caille and its suburbs.

Yulai might have been nice once but, I understand there's a lot of wreckage floating around there now... Lol
