Hello.

Ok, so first I just want to mention that I just spent 30 minutes or something writing a post like this, and then I clicked the preview button and it all went "woosh", gone. So I'm a bit sad about that, but here I go again.

I was recently approached by a corporation that wanted to know if I was interested in joining them. My answer was simply that I dont feel ready yet. From my understanding, by reading a bit on these forums, is that joining a corporation is not something you want to do every other day to put it like that. So I decided to think about it, and then I figured I'd post here and see what my options are.

So far I have only played a few days, but during that time I have completed all the career agent's tutorial missions to see what this game is really about. I liked all of it, but I think exploration, manufacturing, inventing and hauling is what caught my eye the most. I guess combat is a part of the game no matter if you want it or not, so thats something I would have to do anyway.

I consider myself mature, so I'm not interested in joining a corporation full of teenagers screaming and yelling about stuff all the time. I have played MMO's before, so I have some experience being in a "guild", but I feel EvE is something entirely different though. I play to have fun and to relax from real life issues, but still doing it in a serious way. Also, from what I can understand, voice communication seems to be a huge part of most corporations in this game. I would like to say right now that I would probably never speak ever, but I have no problem listening though. I'm a very shy and quiet person and I dont even own a microphone. This havent been an issue in previous MMO's.

So, to sum it up, I'm fairly new to the game. So far I have only done one single mission after completing the tutorials, but I feel that I learned a lot from those tutorials. I'm looking for a corporation that needs me. I want to be put to use. I want to play a role in the corporation, I need to feel useful some way, or I will most likely get bored. I have been hogging the help chat while playing, to pick up on stuff other people ask about, so I know that 0.0 or nullsec can be a fairly dangerous place, but I dont mind going there, as people say nullsec is where the game is going on. And I would probably need some help or guidence or whatnot to make it in the beginning, but I've been told im a quick learner :)

If there is anything that I have neglected to mention, please dont hessitate to ask me either here in this thread, or in a message/mail or w/e. And that reminds me that I should probably let you know that I'm residing in Europe (GMT+1/+2).

(I copied everything this time, before clicking the preview button.. guess I learn from my mistakes :P)
