Really need some help sorting a level 4 mission ship.

2 year gap since i last played. So very rusty.

I have 230 Million to make something valid, used to fly a navy scorp I think.

I have Lvl 5 torps and cruise missles and lvl 4 missile support skills. (tech 2 drones and shields stuff)

From what i can understand Raven is my only option at this point? Anyone got a valid build i could aim towards.

With your budget, I'd just go with a plain jane raven.

Build it something like this if you want to go fast and don't mind cap boosters.

Highs:
cruise launcher 2's

Mids:
X large shield booster
Heavy cap booster
3 mission specific hardeners
Target painter

Lows:
Signal Amp
BCS x3
4 or five lows on a raven?? I can't remember

Rigs:
Rigors. Maybe 2 rigors and a flare, I'm not sure which gives the optimal benefit.

Anyways, that should give you a decent starting point.

I plan on living forever.......so far, so good.

It really depends what other skills you're bringing to the table, but on paper a Raven looks like a good option for you. Cookie cutter fit looks like this these days.

If you want to stick with missiles, you're probably best off aiming for a Tengu. The skill training time should be negligible, but they aren't cheap (and some of the fits thrown around are horribly expensive). If you have good to great drone skills, the Rattlesnake is another option down the road.

Tengu hull alone will clean out his bank. CN launchers are horrifyingly overpriced. Just use T2s, or Arbalests if you can't fit T2. With OP's skills and the X-large booster / large cap booster fit, he should eb able to solo any level 4 mission, including the Worlds Collide 5 and Angels/Guristas Ext bonus room. No rigors needed. But they help.

Just remember, if you go torps, which I wouldn't recommend for a mission boat, rigor rigs won't help you. Torps are considered unguided missiles, and thus are not effected by Rigors. In this case, you will want Flare rigs.

Personally, I use a cruise raven with 3x CCC. I converted my old passive cap raven to an active cap one, and it helped my tank immensely by freeing up some mids for more hardeners. But it is still rigged with 3x CCC. I don't have a problem killing small ships. Drones take care of them quite nicely.

LOL at jokers who post expensive fits when he asks for decently cheapo.

Have a look at this, once you feel at ease with the ship and missions you can replace the Damage control with something more useful (4th BCS, ECCM or perhaps a signal amp). If you want to splurge a bit on faction get 1 or 2 faction BCS, they increase your damage while lowering cpu making a T2 Shield booster easier to fit.

Cap booster fits take a tad more effort in the way that you need a hauler once in a while to move a bunch of booster 800s and that you actually need to use 2 braincells while in a mission, but the upside is that you can fully focus your dps and tank much more so than with a permatank monstrosity resulting in doing missions a whole lot quicker.
