Firstly, thank you CCP for acknowledging the abandonment of the Dev's Answer your Questions thread. But there is one question that was asked by many players. "Many." And now that the answers are not coming from that thread, I want to ask it one time, in one thread, on behalf of everyone who asked it those many months ago.

What, if any, changes is Factional Warfare going to receive?

This question got a pre-response in the following form (which can be found on page 2 of the existing answers thread):

It looked like there were good intentions to address this playerbase, and so I waited very patiently. With so "Many" questions (someone can go count them for me if they want), I'm sure you can assign a few minutes to tell us something about it.

Many players have left the feature, feeling it has been abandoned. If the feature is never going to change, please tell us users so that we can decide if we want to go try another part of the game instead of hanging on with false hopes. Personally, I think some very minimal changes (to start with) could make a world of difference for this feature. There is a tonne of untapped potential.

we had someone in our corp ask at pax. Answer he got was they were looking at incursion like events once a system was contested.

Now this is 3rd hand, so take it for what it's worth.

Chances are that Faction Warfare won't see any changes or anything major for awhile. At least not tell after, Dust514 is compete and out and and a good portion of the bugs that introduces gets the attention it will need. And then not tell after some other things get looked at like Null Sec, and other balancing issues.

I actually think Faction Warfare will get some serious looking at when CCP decides to take a serious look at Low Sec all together since Faction Warfare falls in the area of Low Sec activities.

But do keep the faith, keep the campaign going let CCP know that Faction Warfare is still there and needs love and while you are at it give some love to Low Sec. Since I would bet that the fate of Faction Warfare is linked to Low Sec as well.

And maybe you all who want something done could work on ideas, post them in Assembly Hall. And then when voting for your CSM representatives comes around get a good voting block going and vote someone whom is vocal and an advocate of your issue.

Interesting... I really wanted to go to PAX and was planning on asking Soundwave to his face heheh, but is sounds like there is an unconfirmed occurrence of this by someone else... well if someone at their booth is saying that, CCP should be able to confirm or deny it pretty easily for us.

I like your input, and the way you put it. But of course I'm hoping for an official version of it ;).

Remember the white board photo of 0.0, well there is another one at CCP for FW, it just says FW ...

They didn't even show up for Fan Fest, FW is something they want to fix, the same way I want a pony, but don't know how to make it happen.

I will say I hope they work on it but if they make FW plexing even more focused on PVE instead of pvp it will be the last straw.

Get the stupid red crosses out of plexes and let the *players* know when they are entered, so they can defend them!

I have encountered many mission runners in my time that only do missions and that I never see PvPing. I consider those characters to be carebears and obviously it's annoying to see war targets that could be fighting but aren't. Cloaky T3s, cloaky insta-warping Ishtar, Stealth-Bombers galore... you bring up something interesting there... SBs seem to be the ship of choice for missions but they're generally can't turn around and engage in PvP. Plus they can just cloak and become invulnerable (as can the rest of the missions ships I listed) as long as the pilot doesn't make a mistake. A change they should look at is making missions, and even plexes, more friendly to fully PvP-fit ships. You shouldn't even have to consider refitting a PvP ship in order to complete them more easily. The PvE should be a minor extra to keep you busy while you wait for enemy players.

Also, I gave up plexing after the Caldari WON the war :P, but I keep hearing now that people plex intensely after downtime when they respawn. Downtime is 4am for me here on the west coast of Canada... so that makes it pretty useless to me.

That's a key problem with FW - plexing is only worthwhile after DT.

If that was my primary concern in the game, I would have made a thread about that. My personal concern is FW, and so here is my thread.

Bumping. If CCP had so many responses about FW that they had to just call it "many" than its a question worth taking the time to answer.

How long does it take to write a fair response? Maybe 20 minutes to type a blurb. Hell, lets give em a few hours to discuss, get an accurate feel of where the departments are at.

But the playerbase, especially the FW crowd, DESERVES an hour or two of Dev time. More than any other subgroup, we've been led along, and along, and along, and along waiting waiting waiting for a response.

Will any of the Devs or moderators step up to the plate and make good on these LOOOOOOOOONG overdue commitments to a response?

I myself have been patient and respectful in responding to the current "crises" abounding in eve forum-land, I both respect the developers for being overworked and underappreciated by the community, but this one particular issue is one players have been asking about and heard silence for years now.

I hope the wait is drawing to a close.

Carthas, show some respect. Everyone is on a different learning curve when it comes to Eve, even veterans have things to learn, and no one's opinion should be invalidated because YOU don't approve of their fits.

Seriously, this is Eve. There are infinite ways to fit ships, much is subjective, and you are not the judge and jury.

So his fits are fail to you. Whatever. But there's no need to be an ass and shoot down someone who is simply interested in the fate of FW.

I dont give a crap whether everyone else thinks that FW is full of scrubs or now. Those of us who actually participate regularly know better. The rest of nullsec l33tists, or CCP dev's, or whatever, who aren't paying attention, shouldnt be getting so much under your skin that you need to **** on someone you deem not as worthy as you.

FW is not simply for the pro's. Its for everyone. There just happen to be some of the best small-gang PvP'ers in the game in the community. That doesnt mean everyone has to be.

This kind of ridiculous trolling is counterproductive, and shows poor sportsmanship. Grow up.

This is something that CCP needs to decide. Is FW going to be yet another method to shoot red crosses or is it going to involve small scale and solo pvp? Because the 2 do not mix.

The rats do nothing but deter pvp. There have been many times where I would have loved to fight but my tank was already halved by npcs. Hence I had to warp.

Under the current system ank capped hundreds of plexes without a single pvp kill. That is why occupancy plexing is viewed as a joke.

It can be easilly fixed and, indeed, in the thread she was bragging about capping all those plexes someone recomended the solution. Let militias know when a plex is entered!!! Let them fight for it in pvp ships.
