If so many sites spawn that it has an appreciable effect on how long it takes to scan systems then at least there will be plenty of (whatever loot drops from the sites) to fatten our wallets or give us something different to do. This is okay with me.

I agree this is not the more PvE content many of us have hoped for, but it doesn't seem like it will hurt anything.

I disagree. Scanning is an integral part of wspace (obvious is obvious). Adding additional content that needs to be scanned out is, imo, a good thing. Those who are interested in that content will scan for it and run it. Those who are not interested in that content will not run it. In either case, people who live in wspace successfully must scan their systems and those they traverse. Failure to do so is folly. Besides, scanning has gotten progressively easier as time goes on and it's fairly trivial to identify and then ignore unwanted or uninteresting sites already.

Meh...we are talking about content imported from null where it is much more effective to run those - less unwanted stuff to scan while being in the right ship/fit and watching local while busy with that creepy game. Don't think you hit dscan while hacking, do you?
If the sites do not pay out double in wh space they are useless imho.

I absolutely continue to dscan while hacking. Never not dscan. I dscan in kspace even (habit). Failure to maintain situational awareness (read dscan) in wspace means you die and that is working as intended.

I'm right behind you

Damn, so entitled.

I'm hoping that this change means that null explorers actually jump a WH when they scan it down now instead of just leaving it. This has the added benefit of giving WH entities more null connections.

I don't think we need doubled drops in WH space. Sure, having them payout a bit more since there's no local would be nice, but the fact is that they spawn based on security status and all WH space is -1.0. I assume this will mean that WH data/relic sites will tend more towards the high-end which will effectively bump up the payouts naturally. Add to that the increased faction drops and you're probably looking at a moderately-lucrative low-investment plan. Quite enticing for the newbie just starting to explore, while perhaps lucrative enough to encourage a few vets to come back with a cargo scanner "just in case" there's a faction tower.

Anyway, it's gonna mean more activity in C1-3 space, which is good. Sure, it'll be mostly covops and such, but maybe some idiot will run them in a proteus or something? We'll see.

Yeah, well, it's just like my opinion, man.

Make a friend. Ask the friend to spam Dscan while you hack the containers.

If you want maximum safety while soloing PvE content to make ISK, I suggest that W-space might not be the best space for you. I mean, I'm not some Rambo PvP badass; but your complaint is ridiculous.

Im doing poco bash while watching tv this evening, did sites in an open c4 ... thats not the point.
I do go out to null for hacking sometimes and I don't see any point to do that in wh space if there isn't anything "special" too get from, because in null it*s so easy.
But let's wait and see what we get.

How about posting with your wh toon? Or is it this? Shocked

I will farm cloaks, data and relic analysers and various other wormhole loot drops in my Proteus.
