Hey we got it that one time ...
... and then you started paying attention! ^_^

Nope you didn't. I could understand why you would want to remember it that way though.

Then I apologise and it must have been someone elses. :)
We absolutely did kill a few. I did, at least. ^_^

Maaaaaayyyyyyybeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee................

But still ... I have no reason to believe that others do not know that him is him ...
... and that he'd ask them not to gank him. Makes perfect sense ...
... simply because the others most likely have chars that wanna be safe too..... (:

Most people aren't like me. Most people do things/have agreements, when they benefit them.

I'd just say "get lost" and keep shooting ... like him below .... ^_^

There are a grand total of 3 people who know my alt. One doesn't play anymore and the other two dont gank. The best defence in my case is telling a few people as possible. There are a lot of people out there who would love to get a BAT freighter given our history.

Don't see many rigged and tanked Procurers and Skiffs being ganked. If you got 'em , AFK 'em. Blink

I have to admit I'm rarely there to see mining ships getting ganked.

Maybe if the corporate police gave me a mission to patrol the belts looking for gankers then I might.

Unfortunately things don't work like that so you are on your own,

I have a damsel to resque from a casino or something.

However I think the Proc and the Skiff would be the most likely to pass the safety inspection,

If we did those either.

2 30 minute trips. So that's like... What.... 10 jumps in a freighter between both trips?
That's not Logistics.

Better than survival per flying hour would be survival per jump. Since all that time in warp doesn't actually put you at risk so much as the time at the end. Or time in space not cloaked or warping....
Those would be far more interesting statistics to look at.

Had mine for three years now.

Don't make me explain what flying hours means

2 30 min trips a day to and from jita. Its boringly safe in these things unless you do something like stuff 10 bil in the hold.

And have at least some sense of where to NOT go.... You know, let's just say a hypothetical system that starts with an U.

Telling you I spend an hour more or less every day flying a freighter around is now abusing statistics...

Ok lets deal with this simple fact. Freighters make hundreds of thousands of trips across high sec every month, most likely millions, yet only a dozen are ganked every month on average.

Where do that number come from?

There's no system called Uranus ....... xD (I'm so bad at wordpuns)

Not without begging CCP for the info. Even then, some people aren't linked up to killboards, so you'll never see those.

Ran the API for september (only 80 kills?) and used your numbers.
Doesn't count jump freighter though.

Here is how it look as a graph.

No in pretty much every case we successfully fly through the ganking zones with the time honored tradition of not being dumb.

These trips could be done in any other ships without getting ganked. Who the **** would gank a battleship without a bling fit on it? Who would gank BC without a bling fit on it? Freighter don't dies as much as combat ships because they are not thrown into combat situation. It's as simple as that. Freighter not getting popped as much as combat ship does not mean they are imbalanced, it means they don't show up in combat situation where they would get killed.
